    Great integrated flexible product with outstanding customer support

    Overall Comment

    OneStream expertise was very good, the build was very quick and the system is user friendly and intuitive. Since going live, we have found the support team to be outstanding in their response times and resolution of issues. The project team has made a significant effort to be an integral part of the build process ensuring that knowledge of the system has been transferred to the finance users who will be responsible for the ongoing management of the system.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    We would advise prospective customers to ensure that they don't under resource the project from their side and ensure they provide adequate project management separated from business SME support.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The solution is a flexible platform with a single pricing model. Once the initial phase of the project has been completed, it becomes clearer how the platform can be leveraged to provide solutions for analysing and reporting other areas of finance, e.g. Balance sheet reconciliations, close management, Sales order data to GL account reconciliations and tax provisioning. Some of these solutiuons are provided FOC by the vendor in the "market place" and some require development, however, they are covered by the single licence model.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    The deeper you dive into configuring the platform, the more complex the system can become. The available resources and training don't always provide the same depth of information. OneStream support are always very good at providing additional information. Our approach during the project has been to understand, manage and enhance the system with minimal external support. This criticism is, therefore, in part due to our own decision to reduce reliance on third party partners when enhancing the application.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    It would have been preferable for OneStream to have a professional services presence in the UK at the commencement of the project. This is being addressed as OneStream has been bulding their EMEA team in the last 2 years.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    The project highlighted the need to ensure the Business SMEs are involved in the project and accountable. The software build was straight forward and less time consuming than expected but we under estimated the time and complexity of historical data validation.

    Integration & Deployment - Overall comment

    We were completely satisfied with the deployment of OneStream. The integration within the software is also excellent. We chose not to build any connectors to external software and integrate using csv files.
