    Rapid Insight - simple yet powerful

    Overall Comment

    Veera is a very easy to use yet powerful data processing technology. I think of it as a Visual SQL. It has almost no learning curve for experience data processing people. The vendor service is very responsive to customer needs. This is an outstanding product.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Invest in multiple licenses.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    No change.

    The support staff is extremely responsive, available, well-informed, and encouraging.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Don't be afraid to ask for help!

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The interface is very intuitive.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Not being able to search my jobs for particular characteristics.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Cannot think of anything.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Implement the Veera Enterprise collaboration software earlier -- we have a variety of sites, with analytics people scattered across the state, and Veera Enterprise makes it easier for us to work together.

    First rate customer support. Technology is highly applicable, and most functionality very useful.

    Software is worth the investment

    Establishing data connections is clunky, but I believe the newer versions are addressing this issue.

    Use of RI Veera has allowed us access to difficult-to-reach data - giving us ability to examine data descriptives but also trends - enhancing our ability to make data-informed decisions. Support from RI for its products is unrivaled - phenomenal.

    Company support throughout the implementation process was superior!

    I have found everyone to be eager to assist, whether the person is in sales, technical support, or the president of the company. The company wants you to succeed and will thus, work diligently and closely to ensure success is achieved.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    You should give Rapid Insight the opportunity to meet your analytical needs. In other words, take a very close look at what Rapid Insight has to offer. Rapid Insight understands the demands placed on institutional researchers and others collecting data. As a result, their products increase efficiency, accuracy, and quickness in the collection and dissemination of data.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The attributes I like most about Analytics and Veera are the analytical/statistical power and "user friendliness."

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Nothing

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Nothing comes to mind. I am well-pleased in the support that I have received.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    If I could start over, I would purchase additional licenses in the beginning, so those currently involved would have gone through the training along side me.

    Phenomenal product and customer support

    The customer service is beyond compare. The jobs that I wanted were complicated, but with the excellent support, they were completed without issue.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Make sure the output options are what you want.

    Ease of producing analytics, customer service

    Would like more flexibility in output options

    Work through a process independently first.

    Customer Service Drives the Product

    Vendor is very engaged with customers and responsive to the product feature suggestions offered by the customer. In addition, the customer service team is friendly, knowledgeable, and sincerely driven to keep the customer happy.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Be prepared to get involved at a personal level. RI is more like a partner or colleague than a 3rd party vendor.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ease of use. You don't need a consultant to show you what to do and do it for you.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Nothing comes to mind.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Provided a user manual. They have a library of videos to help you with each of the product's features and provide numerous webinars but some of us old school user would feel better with a manual in their hands

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Encourage more users within the organizaton.

    Implementation was easy, Rapid Insight offered fantastic client services.

    Rapid Insight has offered fantastic support services. We've worked with them on model-building and implementing data connections they've designed for our Student Information System; in both cases, they were extremely responsive. The products (particularly Veera, for me) are frequently updated and new features have been added based on customer feedback. Rapid Insight is very responsive to their customer's needs.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ease of use and the support. It allows me to easily connect all of the disparate data sources that I work with.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    There are a few UI elements that I would change. It's not a huge problem, but there are some issues moving elements around in lists and working with data connections that I would personally like to see handled differently.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Rely more on Rapid Insight's expertise from the start. We started by working with the products solely internally and didn't make use of the services they provided. We had much better results once we started making use of the expertise that was available to us. We've also had a bit of trouble getting all of our users using the products. If we were to do things over, we would spend more time working with internal users to make sure they're comfortable with the products and see the advantages of using them.

    I've found Rapid Insight to be very responsive and knowledgeable. It's very easy to get someone on the phone to help with any questions I might have. I use Veera often, and while I don't use Analytics that often when I do it really speeds up an analysis.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Make use of the trial license period. I started out with a fairly ambitious project to make sure I would get my money's worth, and Rapid Insight was very flexible about extending the trial period until I was satisfied that the product could do what I needed.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    It's fun to use, and since I'm a visual thinker, it makes going back to an older job and remembering what I was doing very easy

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    The transform node - I can't always figure out how to get it to do what I want, whereas I know how I could do a certain thing in SAS code very easily. But then I call the vendor and get it figured out.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Automatic backups of jobs.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    I can't think of anything
