    One-stop monitoring and problem insight across all parts of IT

    Overall Comment

    The vendor is dynamic, nimble and very customer focused. They demonstrated well after the sale their passion and commitment to their platform with several enhancements that addressed new and specific problems we were trying to gain insight too. Their post-sales support and interaction has been one of the best experiences in my 25 years in the healthcare IT business

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Push your teams to use this as their central (and first) port of call when trying to resolve and troubleshoot application, network, server or general performance issues and break out of their silo tools.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Customer service and genuine passion for solving our problems and not just making a sale

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    That its hard to explain its market position to others

    Come to market 10 years sooner

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Purchased the search appliance sooner to gain even more insights

    ExtraHop, an out of the box game changer to help your team improve customer experience!

    Overall Comment

    The product worked and provided value out of the box. Basic visability was attained after providing connectivity and necessary certificates. This enabled our NOC to take a giant leap in monitoring applicaions and taking proactive measures to address issues prior to end-user impacts. Additional functionality was attained by working with the vendor to configure systems to our environment.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Train your implementation team and have a plan before fully adopting the product. The true power of this tool is the ability to put the power in the hands of admins and developers. Training should be manditory so the staff understands how to bend the tool to their needs. This can cut downtime and time to address severities by a factore of 10 or more.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The use of wire analytics without the need for agents simplifies deployment and operations. Also there is 0 impact to application operations as it does not use server resources and there is no need for downtime for upgrades.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Very little to dislike. Easy to deploy, support, and use products like this will severly challenge the large monolithic monitoring platforms that promise a single pain of glass.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    The licensing model does not adapt well to small scale (sub-20 server) deployments in geographically disirate locations. This can raise the Opex/Capex model if not properly planned.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Nothing, we conducted market research, attained reference and conducted a bake-off. ExtraHop was the clear winner in the end and continues to deliver in ways we never anticipated.

    Very hands on, really helped us with the implementation. Came onsite and also did some work remotely to complete the implementation.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Make sure you dedicate a couple people to learn this tool. Then allow them to be the trainers for others. The more people that know the tool the better. Can be network, Client, even your more technical Application staff.

    the Atlas report is a great tool.

    can't think of anything

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    You can always make the services a little less expensive.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    nothing, we are completely satisfied with the relationship and how things were done.

    We purchased an appliance (fixed location) and vm license for a mobile (so we could place it in specific areas of our environment). Gives us a lot of flexibility.
