    Poor legacy product support but great program

    Overall Comment

    We got the product we wanted and it workes great however we only purchased this product becasue the pervious version stopped working and they were not willing to assist in retrieveing the old licesnse becasue the software was not under support.

    Esnure you understand their licenseing procedures

    It works eaily and effecently

    Help with old version of product

    Ensure we understand the support we would or would not be recieving form the vendor

    Powerful data mining Tool.

    Customer service hasn't always helpful. Not for lack effort but for an inability to know how I use their product.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Spend time with the training manual and files. They are very well done.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Flexibility and ease of use.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Newer versions have sacrificed ease of use for power.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Lower price point for their Classic version.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Upgrade to newer versions sooner.

    Support has been hit or miss and not really worth the cost of annual maintenance.

    Preparing for the data driven future

    We have had great success with using Monarch. There are facets of our processes that could not be handled any other way than using data mining and Monarch has been exceptionally useful.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    When capturing data from a source, grab everything from the data source. Even if it doesn't seem relevant, someday it may be.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The ability to capture data from nearly any source.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    We have not been as up to date as I would like. Partially, this is an internal IT issue but also I don't feel like in the past the communication was set up as well as it is now.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    We are pretty pleased with how our implementation went.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We would have spent more time and gotten more support on the Enterprise Server. It has not been fully utilized in our organization. Also, would have brought other departments in much earlier on using data mining.

    Haven't contacted support in a long time, however, have gotten the answers I needed when I did have reached out.

    Our deployment was fairly uneventful.

    An inexpensive analysis and reporting solution that uses existing data sources.

    Monarch provides an inexpensive solution that uses our existing data sources and allows flexible analysis and reporting without the need to rely on I.T.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    If you would benefit from a way to further analyze and report on your existing data, I would certainly recommend Monarch to you. We have used it on a daily basis for nearly 20 years.

    Ease of use

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We would have purchased the software sooner.

    If required, perform vendor management prior to purchasing. Datawatch was slow to respond to information requests to qualify them within our vendor management process. Might be more responsive with potential sales than past sales.

    Extremely versatile. Have yet to find a deficiency within the software that prevented us from achieving the desired result.

    Nothing.

    Nothing. We are pleased with communication and support that the vendor has provided related to products.

    Perform vendor management prior to purchasing. Datawatch was slow to respond to information requests to qualify them within our vendor management process.
