    Quality Product for Live Dashboards

    Overall Comment

    Building basic dashboards to track production orders, output volumes, and QC results has been a breeze. Some early-on nuances to work through for best practices for reusing dashboards for different monitor sizes/resolutions, but seems to be part of the learning curve. Otherwise, a great way for managers and supervisors to keep track of what is happening around them in a live production environment.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Do your product research and be sure to understand that each session and its independent refresh rate will create cascading demands on the dataserver. We found that populating staging tables with scheduled data queries resolved a lot of these issues.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ease of use once the system and best practices for our on-site environment is figured out

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Scaling for different monitors/resolutions.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Documentation and training opportunities.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    More research up front along with testing of the dashboard setups and various use case that we eventually deployed this product too.

    Data Visualizations are so fast and easy even an intern can can do it!

    Overall Comment

    The vendor is very responsive and quick to answer questions and provide answers about the product. The vendor usese resellers for licensing and was both recommended by our Data Warehouse and Financial Core vendor (Fiserv). We licensed through our financial core vendor for better pricing. The have a community forum as well as regular blog articles and webinars that are very useful.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Purchase the guest license to allow for easier integration.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The ability to quickly create data visualizations with dashboards that can be shared across the organization effectively.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    That it uses flash, but they have created it in HTML 5 as well starting in recent versions.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Provide more dashboard packs. For instance when they create a blog posting , share with their users that sample data sources and the dashboards with an installation steps to try them out and modify them for their organization.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Start out with purchasing the guest license and a very small number of user licenses. Guest licenses allows for easy integration into an existing application delivery platform such as an intranet and leveraging that security model. If you go with named users, then implement single sign on during the installation.
