    We expected a lot, and are getting more much more

    Overall Comment

    From the outset Looker worked with us closely to address needs particular to a small company, and that included a win-win phase in. That helped win us over. During onboarding Looker and team were accessible to us, and very generous with their time. We felt and continue to feel that their mission is our success. Since we started we've seen a rapid execution of new features and innovation, and we have felt that our requests have in at least some way have impacted either priority or content of releases. Account Managers have good direct access to the product team and pull them in as needed. Account management is strong and helpful. We feel like we have picked a winner in a young but well-managed company that can manage growth with strong technology and product growth.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    We like the abstraction of the data modeling. It was a quick ramp-up for a data analyst and requires no engineering.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We underestimated the resources we needed to bring a portal to market with Looker. That would not have changed our vendor decision - most require a lot of work - but would have helped us to finance the project better.

    Really great, love their communication and training. Great customer tech support chat to answer questions. Love that functionality.

    lack of visualization functionalities

    Clean looker views, having too many lookmls already, wondering how it can be sustainable in the long run as our data grows bigger

    Tricky for end users.

    Overall Comment

    The learning curve has proven to be too high for all end users. Requires product teams to work with data team to implement tags and expose them to looker, whereas previous solutions like Google Analytics enabled end-users to help drive this process more easily.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Include product and business teams in evaluation of reporting, using real data need use cases.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    generate templated reports for basic insights.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Consider end users' willingness to create custom report configurations.
