    Powerful for traditional network and infrastructure monitoring. App monitoring needs work.

    Overall Comment

    Works very well for traditional infrastructure, server, network monitoring. Application level monitoring requires much more customization than expected. Integration with ServiceNow is very powerful but requires lots of upfront planning and data cleansing. It could benefit from role based access to allow separate teams (i.e. network, server, and app) and ability to add/change monitoring independently.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Special skill sets are required to operate this. I would recommend companies to consider a full outsourced model to implement & maintain it. Clear SLAs would be required.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Customizable dashboards are great. We have app teams that can now see the entire underlying infrastructure which greatly helps with troubleshooting.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Developing application level monitoring is complex.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Do not underestimate the effort to clean & scrub data between ScienceLogic & the CMDB. These need to be in sync to maximize the value.
