    Product(s): Barracuda Backup

    Barracuda appliances are good for local backups, cloud replication isn't there completely.

    Overall Comment

    They worked closely with our organization to get Barracuda Backup Appliances at all of our locations. We have large and small facilities, they examined each facility to make sure we had the appliance that would fit and allow for growth. If there was a technical issue, they made sure it was resolved in a timely fashion.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Do your homework on the cloud replication if you are going to go that route. If you are going to backup Exchange environments, you can find better solutions.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ease of use

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Replication to the cloud doesn't work as well as they advertise it.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Allow granular restore from a single backup. I want to be able to backup an Exchange, SQL, SharePoint,... server once and restore a single file from any backup in our retention period.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Dedicate internet links to Barracudas at larger locations. This would hopefully eliminate the need to throttle the replication, which doesn't work well. It would also keep the replication queue from growing out of control.

    It has all the capabilities that we need, some of them just need to be improved.

    Service & support - overall comment

    I've called/emailed support a couple times. They respond within a timely fashion and are easy to work with to troubleshoot any issues.
