Implementations within our organization have always been difficult because of the unique nature of our business. The vendor has performed well at taking those unique requirements and guiding us in the implementation. The flexibility of the package allows for us to focus on our needs.
Test the environment with all potential systems to ensure setup will ease integration.
Customer support is always available and helpful.
Focus on the look and feel of the tool but less focus on maximizing features within the tool to provide more utility.
Detailed documentation on features and capabilities as well as the limitations and requirements to optimize the performance of the system.
Understand more of the nuances of the system to make informed decisions on initial deployment. Remediation regarding infrastructure and setup take time and resources. Apply more dedicated resources to the management of the system and perform more thorough internal training.

Customers are concerned about the security making it difficult to gain buy in.
Planning should include preparing the end customer. Building trust prior to implementation time
product allows for the end customer to be less dependant on the IT department for reporting on their own data.
