    Easygoing installation and good integration support. Good at managing racks, whitespace.

    Overall Comment

    3-D vision and CFD support are good. We could see power from rack-PDU. Work orders part is good. Change management is good. Capacity planning is good. Offering the best place for racks is good. The lab is useful. Integration with CMDB and Tivoli were completed. New requests in Maximo integration. Visual network cabling is missing. Custom reports are not easy. The dashboard is not good.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    It is a long journey. Dedicated team is required. Promote the product to other departments.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Asset Management.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Lack of report customization.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Flexible licensing.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We would start with all modules and license for all racks.

    I believe that StruxureWare provides one of the most comprehensive platform in the DCIM field. The support and expertise from sales to implementation has been excellent. Support for the product has been easy and reliable to access. The system is easy to implement and leverage according to current maturity of our environment.

    DCIM Success depends on scoping the project right and Schneider delivered as promised.

    Overall Comment

    We received very good support during implementation and the support quality is maintained post go-live as well. Schneider took lot of effort for BMS integration and delivered the final product beyond our expectations.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    It is imperative to do a POC, particularly for DCIM. This is a relatively new field and in-house skill sets are typically limited. The true test of a vendor's own confidence in their product will reflect in their willingness to do a POC.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Schneider took the most effort of all vendors to understand our setup and our requirements. They did not over-commit product capabilities and gave us a precise picture of what the product can deliver. Schneider was also most willing to provide client references, site visits and a POC without any pre-commitment. StruxureWare is highly modular, relatively easy to deploy / maintain and very user-friendly. We had to spend very little effort in operator training. Post go-live support has been impressive.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    So far there are no issues that we can term as unsatisfactory about the product / service.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Schneider, in my opinion, underestimated the complexities involved in DCIM-BMS integration for our environment. To be fair, they took all the necessary effort and ultimately delivered the promised integration. But it took longer than expected.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    As with any tool implementation, it is important to adopt a phase-wise approach and carry out POC before committing to a solution. In our case, we followed both these strategies and for this particular implementation, there is not much we would do differently.

    Product capabilities - overall comment

    The product is very easy to use, highly scalable and is providing high level of visibility on major DC capacity / utilization metrics. The post implementation support has been very good as well. The most impressive point was the efforts taken by Schneider to integrate our BMS with StruxureWare, thus our operations team is now able to use a single console to view alerts from multiple systems.

    Ongoing support was lacking. Upgrades were serial and annoying.

    Consider the goals of DCIM carefully and only implement what is required for your goals.

    Capabilities.

    The GUI is getting out of date.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Provide a free upgrade path from physical appliances to virtual.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Purchase different meters for the ATS switches.

    Phone and email support are short and curt. I have had to call multiple times to get the answer I eventually required. Finding me and my company in their DB is time consuming every time we call.

    Schneider was willing to work with us on all problems, from the mundane to complicated.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Wait for a few implementations before you jump in.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Effectively monitors and provides data for reporting and strategic planning.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Interoperability with other struxureware products, particularly on the BMS side, is slow to roll out.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Better initial documentation would have been greatly appreciated.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We would wait until several versions had been released and bugs ironed out.
