    Product(s): NSX

Features are worthwhile but implementation takes affort.

    Overall Comment

NSX helped us achiever our business goals more easily than without the product. Installation required effort across multiple technicle disciplines but the end result was worth the work. Specifically we were looking for a way to achieve layer 2 stretch across sites to facilitate easy VM migrations. The additional features are are huge bonus. Microsegmentation especially.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

Have a team dedicated to the effort as a sponosred project. This isnt a easy lift.

It met our functional requirements and has been a great win for the company.

What do you dislike most about the product?

The cost and effort to achieve were signifigant investments.

What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

It would be nice if this was a bundled companent with ESX. As it is it is an add on expense.

If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

Have more discussion around the network requirements of the produt. Especially ESC/vCenter requirements and MYU configuration requirements.
