Professional and flexible, takes care of there customers. They are very techinically skilled and has had speedy answers to every technical question.
World class product, the power is fantastic.
The in-db-query and the flexibility and seed of app-development.
The license model is not up-to-date with needs in the digitized society, feature-wise it is awsome, but license model restricts its deployment rate. The scalability of the publication of apps to external organisations and customers, is rather painfull exercise to do it correctly. The microsoft based platform makes it a very odd and poorly fitting component in a truely horizontal cloud based real-time big data plattform. It becomes very obvious that the backend architectural dependenices and licence model is its weakness. Not from a performance perspective but from a CI-deployment and maintenance perspective.
Better support for NoSQL. More flexible business model.
Separate technologies for external and internal access.

Spotfire is a complete analytics ecosystem. Many tools have limitations where once the boundaries of the bulit in features can not meet the business requirements, an additional external tool is required. With Spotfire, there are many ways to extend the system to meet all the requirement from both the business and engineering users.
Build internal compenents to extend the system. This can be done without excessive skill levels.
Extremely easy to integrate R statistics using the TERR engine to deploy advanced statistics in an easy to understand end user guide.
API documentation does not contain example code.
Greater feature demonstration on version upgrades.
Deeper training at product introduction across more groups including business and finance. The original target group was engineering and the value was not quickly realized across different groups such as finance.
