Overall implementation and support has worked well. The biggest issues revolve around version upgrades and compatibility with legacy systems.

The easy choice is to go with the leader in the industry.or is it?

Plus side is they have been a leader in the industry for a long time, the downside is they have been a leader in the industry for a long time. They continue to refine the product and make some advances but not the same advances as others that are hungrier in the space. It is easy to get complacent when you have been the leader in the industry. Unfortunately, sometimes the rollouts come with bugs that they refuse to fix and just go with "too bad" when confronted about it. They won't say it verbatim but in so many words.

MS SQL Server continues to get better as the product matures.

MS SQL Server is a solid product. Overall, it is user friendly from a query perspective, development, and administration. Overal experience is very positive.

It's pretty cool . Can work with large amounts of data, at a tremendous pace. I personally like to work with Oracle, rather than SQL server
