    Capable DW platform. Needs attention on the usability and manageability side.

    Overall Comment

    We made the decision when ParAccel was still an independent company. After Actian acquisition, we struggled with the support. Overall the experience was positive but we did have challenges in realizing benefits as quickly as we had hoped for.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Define and clarify R&Rs for initial implementation period. Make sure vendor contributions are clearly defined and your internal resources are fully trained on the platform.

    Speed and peformance.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Management and monitoring features including stability issues.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Offer more in-depth training and formal certification.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Would have engaged the vendor more deeply. This approach would have increased the initial cost but had the potential to prevent split accountability issues.
