    Product(s): Veritas eDiscovery

    Implementation was pretty involved and required a lot of hands on but overall satisfied

    Overall Comment

    Veritas was mostly responsive to our needs despite some issues with what was purchased as far as implementation support. When we asked for the intial deal to be quoted we asked for full support of intial install and migration support but this was aqparently not quoted and we ended up wioth a more limited support level and were at max budget at that point.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    get implementation support. Especially if migrating from another product. Migration took us many many months to complete.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    It works well and does what we require. Maintenance is not that involved now that its up and running

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    The whole migration for another vendor. Not all Veritas's fault but some of it was.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Provide accurate quoting. We worked directly with them and provided written details of what we needed but found out after the fact and budgets were approved we didn't get everything we listed.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Verify products the vendor quoted matched what we asked for. ASk for them to dechiper the product codes and explain exactly what each piece includes.

    Upgrade Veritas eDiscovery is a simple process.

    Overall Comment

    Product serves it purpose. eDiscovery functions are best in class. Upgrade was straightforward. Straight forward DR strategy.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Clearwell would be the alternative choice but expensive. eDiscovery will do the job most of the time.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    easy to use and fast to produce a fairly accurate results to meet compliance requirements.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Weak DR solution. Need to install the software under an elevated permission using the user credential. this is a bug in version 10.x. You can remove the elevated permission after the install.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    create a High Availability solution for the software.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Can't think of any. It is a simple program but yield very powerful results to meet compliance and risk requirements.
