    OneDrive for Business Great Solution

    Overall Comment

    OneDrive is an outstanding solution for accessing data anytime, anywhere ftom any device. Has some issues, but over all a great tool.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Don't be afraid to try it. Learn it's capability and leverage it from PC's, laptops and mobile devices!

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Access flexibility

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Occasional sync issues.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Fixed file name issues with special characters as well as path/file name location.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Ensure users were better trained on how to leverage the tool more effectively.

    One Drive Works as Advertised

    Overall Comment

    Student account deployment was slow because of volume. Staff account implementation was easy. Works as advertised. Now that Microsoft offers it free to education, it is even better.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Works. Easy for users to sync documents.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Web browser version is clunky.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Provide the ability to map drives without third party.

    OneDrive works well

    Overall Comment

    OneDrive for Business with its integration into Office 365 Groups and SharePoint has provided the necessary tools to bring various legacy workflows into a new and updated process that then allows greater end user adoption because nothing has been left behind.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    reach out often to microsoft. the FastTrack program is great

    intergration into the office suite

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    sync client problems.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    nothing reallly, it was my expectations or lack of knowledge on thier roadmap that caused issues.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    waited for a few more feature so end users didn't get jostled with new versions and deprecated features.

    Easy implementation, be ready for continual change and training opportunities

    The product rolls out great new features. But turns them on by default and if we aren't aware of a feature update / change, to get it disabled in time, users start using it before we have a chance to evaluate it. Just wish new features were rolled out as disabled by default or some global setting that could be changed.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    If it's hard to trickle change through the organization, try to faciliate a phase / long term strategy to shift what is done today, then incremental learnings for the users to start utilizing the platform in more productive ways. Do not expect your users to adopt the entire platform and all it has to offer in a short time frame.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The vision for sharing and productivity with things like Delve delivers the feeling of more collaboration than what was done prior with onpremise solutions.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Sharing files is extremely easy

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Offered more global controls of features instead of having to manage them at the individual user level.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Focus on training our users about the changes to their current jobs, then focusing later about the benefits of the solution, e.g. sharing capabilities.

    Its not quite ready for prime time, but is improving rapidly.

    Test Microsoft's promises and be realistic about their actual capabilities.

    It has the future potential to meet the needs and is fully baked into Office 365.

    Just not as robust as competition.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Had a more robust product.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Don't promise a Dropbox replacement.

    Implementation went very well but improvements can be made with data synchronization.

    Overall the product works very well. At times there tend to be synchronization errors between end devices and the Office 365 service.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Don't assume people will come running to use this service. A strong awareness and training campaign will be needed to be successful.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Flexibility in file sharing with PC's and mobile devices (iPads and iPhones). This tool helps make the iPad a very functional computer.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    The file syncing issues.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Make us aware of the challenges other companies were facing in an up-front and proactive manner.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Provide stronger training to our staff up front to help drive faster adoption of this service.

    OneDrive not an Enterprise replacement for Box.

    Overall Comment

    Our Microsoft sales representative had a bully mentality and we feel that they misled us on this product knowing that Microsoft was set to change it significantly shortly after the purchase. They did and they disrupted intended functionality for our use-case.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Beware when dealing with Microsoft, unless you have a robust Sharepoint installation your OneDrive. Features are considerably limited and many do not work as advertised even with Sharepoint installed.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Came with O365, not impressed with any other aspects.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    A lack of enterprise functionality and rigid/limited scope of capabilities. Sales process also was very poor experience.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Worked with us as a partner rather than as a target for making quota in their sales.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Avoid Microsoft solutions that seem too good to be true. Go with best of breed when possible. Consult professionals on near future changes coming to products.

    Do the research, but more importantly make sure information is not escaping the organization.

    Nothing.
