Mature product with reasonably good support. The product runs reliably, does not require a lot of day-to-day administration. The management interface is somewhat intuitive but could be improved. Product upgrade process could be improved.

This vendor has about the best support staff and system that i've ever had to use. Every vendor that provides support should use them as an example.

We originally purchased this service when it was independent and known as LiveOffice. Since we originally signed up, it has been purchased by Symantec and now has been spun off to their Veritas division. Originally LiveOffice was one of the best companies I've worked with, implementation was super easy and the support was super helpful. Sadly, everything has gone downhill since Symantec purchased LiveOffice. Not only is technical support horrible, their billing department is by far the worst billing department I have ever worked for. I didn't receive an invoice for 2+ years and we had to basically just send them what we thought we owed them just to make sure our account was on good terms. At one point, I got a hold of someone at Symantec billing and they said they would send the invoice and it ended up being a blank invoice and then after I notified them and had them resend the invoice, it came in, but the invoice wasn't even in English. Worst experience ever!

The tech support is usually good. The provide good feedback and good troubleshooting.

Implementation was stratightforward, product could use better built in ediscovery instead of requiring u to purchase 3rd party software Clearwell

it was a little confusing training customers the difference between storing in their inbox on exchange and storing in the Symantec enterprise vault. Archiving and retrieving was a little confusing ..the interface for users. Could be smoother.

The product works just as advertised however with this big of an implementation there is quite a bit of daily upkeep by my engineers. We have 16 EV servers and 4 SQL servers and daily reboots are required.

Symantec Enterprise Vault and E-Discovery tool is stable and robust. Discovery Accelerator can handle most E-Discovery request and very easy to use, with minimal training needed. The EV Outlook Plug-in is good but need improvement. The EV Outlook search is not friendly and needed major revamp to be more user-friendly.
