Easy Implementation with Improvement needed in Sales Process

The sales process was good, but could be improved. The vendor provided for purchasing was difficult to work with.

Cylance Review

Security and functionality on top of ease of deployment to 1000+ end points was a breeze. Ongoing support and updates are just as easy. Management of each end point is simple and edits are almost instant.

The best endpoint prevention tool out there in the market!

Cylance is a cloud based Next Gen AV. It has a simple deployment process, no reboots required. It has the ability to look for Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs), malware, backdoors, trojans on all endpoints and quarantine them. It has 4 levels of protection level - file, memory, scripts and application freeze. Policies can be setup for each 4 levels and deployment can be done level by level at your own pace. They have ThreatZero team to help you with deployment if you need the assistance. They also have an app in Splunk to receive the feed from Cylance. There is a new module released called Optics, which is a EDR solution. The product has a lot of potentials. The cyber battles are no longer fought at the perimeter, they are being fought at the endpoint level and Cylance is a must to win that battle.

Very satisfied with the value and performance of Cylance Protect

Cylance has worked exceptionally well for us as a complete replacement for traditional antivirus. We had been using McAfee endpoint and increasing found it that it did not meet our needs. Updates to McAfee product regularly (2-3x per year) caused widespread client performance issues and increasingly the product was not effective in catching malware. In particular, McAfee was not detecting and mitigating APT threats (e.g. crypto locker style malware). We evaluated the Cylance product on the basis of recommendations from a local security service partner and our own research and found the that the Cylance product had very high detection rates (i.e. 90%+). The product was also easy to tune to prevent system issues and false positives. We acquired the Cylance Protect product and initially implemented it along with a less expensive traditional antivirus product (Microsoft). We have since removed the traditional antivirus product and are relying on Cylance. Cylance has effectively eliminated our challenges with malware and APT on endpoints. Six months after our implementation we've only had 1 notable issue... the "script control" feature in Cylance has been challenging to use effectively without causing systems issues (e.g. VERY long boot times as GPOs are being processed) and we've turned it off in some situations. My desires for improvements of the product would be: * Release a Linux version (I've heard this is coming) * Improve script control feature

Effective product with minimal system impact.

The original installation was a breeze. Subsequent changes and re-installs are an issue due to how much external access we deny. We will be investigating an "on-premise" solution, as apposed to cloud based. Product effectiveness is impressive, though. Nice to not have to worry about constant virus definition updates and downloads. Also nice to know the constant CPU overhead. Don't have to worry about spikes in usage due to scans kicking off.
