Excellent technical support. The sales staff follows up every quarter to understand our experience as a customer.
After our installation was complete Cylance came out with some YouTube examples. I think this was a good way to look at the product as they compare against other products. This was a good way to compare against your end point protection. There was maybe 10 videos to review with a different comparison for each video.
The product works as advertised. They assume 99% protection and we have seen no malware/viruses since fully implementing Cylance in 2016. The onboarding process was excellent with a quality technical
The reporting could be more robust. The reports are avaialbe but in early 2016 you needed to work with Cylance technical support to get the "good" reports.
The reporting in the product we have is not great. I understand the reporting is improved in different products. You can request a detailed report from Cylance but the portal does not provide as many options as I would like.
I would spend more time understanding the capabilities and roadmap of the Cylance product. I was agressive with the schedule and knew we needed to improve our end point protection.

Simply put, Cylance Protect is the pioneer antivirus/malware prevention system of the future. I have yet to run into an issue with it installed on all types of systems across our entire city network. The installation was very quick and easy. Maintenance is minimal and is performed from a central cloud console... it shows you the overall endpoint security status of your entire network and any security events that may arise can be set to automatically resolve or be managed individually from the cloud console on the spot. The product has performed exceptionally.
Cylance Portect just works... simple to setup, very little maintenance, and I don't even notice it's there. The other traditional AV systems out there really are a false sense of security.
It works very effectively and I don't have to think about it... it takes the time and worry of endpoint security off my plate.
Really can't think of much I'm not happy about with it... maybe a couple minor tweaks to the central cloud console, but I really can't complain, especially since I've heard there's some new changes to it that should be released shortly
Initially, it was hard to find a reseller, but once I got setup with Solutions Granted everything ended up getting setup quickly and easily.
I wish we had a system like this in place before some of our computers got hit with ransomware.

Cylance was very flexible, offering unique payment terms and contract considerations. Also, they worked very closely with us to ensure the product would deliver as promised. Our PoC ran for several weeks, and they were close to us throughout the entire engagement. In
Engage Cylance directly and work with their team, then bring in the partner after you've established the framework of a deal. I also recommend a multi-year engagement. This will be most cost effective.
Cylance is a very lightweight product that is substantially more effective than traditional AV and endpoint security products.
Cylance has a fairly modest partner ecosystem and relatively few points of integration, unlike their competitors. Cylance demonstrated greater capabilities in the PoC, all while consuming a fraction of the resource consumption and disruption our current AV solution offered.
The suppot group worked with my teams throughout the PoC and beyond. Most issues were minor, and resolved on the first call.

Cylance is a top notch company offering a cutting edge product. Every experience along the way from initial discussions - proof of concept testing - purchasing - deployment was straightforward, low pressure and just made sense. Overall I am very satisfied with each step of this process and the interactions that I had with each different part of Cylance along the way.
Utilize the Threat Zero services, if for nothing else than a sanity check. The Threat Zero team became an extension of my team throughout the rollout of Cylance Protect and very clearly added value as I look at how quickly and smoothly the deployment of the product went. I have no doubts that we could have deployed the product on our own, but there is no possible way that we would be anywhere close to the timeframe that it took with the Threat Zero team.
Product - it works and it work VERY well. Services - they work and they work VERY well.
Nothing. Sales - upfront, transparent, and fun to interact with. This assisted with the internal sell of the product to the business. Professional Services - easy to work with, straight forward communications, always felt like a priority.
We as an organization could have developed a more aggressive rollout schedule. I think organizations are a bit hesitant when it comes to deploying Anti-Virus products, due to the historical pains of breaking their business. But with Cylance Threat Zero's assistance with clearly defining a rollout process, from monitoring our environment, tuning our environment and then moving to full protection, made the rollout straightforward and painless.
Services and support have done exactly what we have needed them to do. They are always available, always helpful, and always make our needs a priority.

Very impressed with the performance of the product coupled with its ability to detect brand new threats. I routinely bring new threats to Cylance that evade most or all traditional AV on the market, and Cylance already blocks them. It is as advertised, in it is much more intelligence than old school products that require constant updating of definitions.
That it stops new threats, including new ransomware malware, cold.
See aforementioned comment on script control - further development in this area should be a priority for Cylance.
The new script control functionality needs additional flexibility before we can put it in blocking mode.
Wouldn't change anything; implementation with Cylance support went very smoothly. We methodically combed through the adware/potentially unwanted processes it detected at first deployment before turning on blocking mode and our patience paid off.
While phone/email support has been solid, I haven't had to use it that often because the web interface is great for self-service needs. If I have a new threat I can simply feed the hash to the management console to see if any Cylace customer has seen it before, and how the PROTECT product treats it.
The project manager Cylance provided had a system down pat and implementation was a breeze. After hearing horror stories of advanced endpoint/whitelisting solutions I was nervous going in, but those fears were completely alleviated.

Such an easy implementation with very little hand holding / issues months later, could not be happier!
test out custom built apps/code, user workflows, company software. We ran into a number of cases where custom apps and automated emailed needed to be added into the exceptions policy
made little use of service and support, it is really that easy to work with! The few times we have used support have been pleasurable

The ThreatZero and technical support are very good. The team that works ThreatZero is excellent. We were guided through the installation and configuration (a six-week process) by the ThreatZero team. The team was patient, answering all questions, and helping us when mistakes were made. The team understood change processes and was willing to work around our change management procedures.
Purchase the ThreatZero installation services and call the company immediately after the purchase to start this process.
The entire team was patient with our staff. It was very easy to contact our ThreatZero lead when we had questions, and working with the entire team was a great experience.
The vendor that provided the software was not prepared to support the complexity of this software. The vendor helped install the client, but basically stopped after only two zones were created. After this the vendor told us we were fully protected. We ran in this configuration for about two months, but I didn't see a decrease in the amount of malware on our workstations. We eventually called Cylance directly, and working with the Cylance team discovered that the software was not installed correctly.
The installation process and notes on the complexity of the process could be better documented.
I would have engaged Cylance earlier. We spent one month working with the reseller on the installation of the software with bad results. The reseller didn't understand the complexities of this software installation, and after one month after the initialization, the software was not configured properly, and we didn't have an estimated time to complete the job.
The Cylance team is excellent. The team is organized, easy to contact, and willing to help. The vendors that sell this product need to better understand this product.

The vendor and their support have been proactive, and support has been excellent. Issues that arise within the environment, such as a new internal client that suddenly starts running numerous system checks, were identified and tickets opened by support before we the customer ever contacted them as the issue was definitely to be with the internal client. The CylancePROTECT agent has proven itself 1000% and has shown how to slow the AV solution was at identifying items which were already quarantined by CylancePROTECT. The AV solution also did not identify other threats that CylancePROTECT did, and that were valid upon review (e.g., PUP, Adware) and quickly blocked. The number of systems that are reimaged continues to drop, and the only user complaints are quickly resolved once we advise on proper downloading of applications from the correct sources, and our internal policies regarding software installation. Several items that were never seen as a threat were identified by CylancePROTECT, and these were items that the AV solution did not report as a threat. Many of the initial toolbars and other PUPs identified by CylancePROTECT seemed to directly correlate to users that have had issues with virus and malware infections in the past. This is information we use to show the month to month drop in issues with our end points as we are able to completely remove these ever-changing, seemingly harmless according to the AV solutions, threats quickly and easily with CylancePROTECT.
Ensure that testing of applications throughout the various parts of the organization are closely monitored and enforced. Exceptions that we encountered fell into two 'white listing' areas, the Policy has a "File Actions" to whitelist files, but Exploit exceptions require explicit information for the executable under the "Memory Actions" section. A good file hash calculator, I use HashCalc if in Windows, will be needed as you'll need to be able to provide the file SHA256 hash.
From our testing and deployment, we see that the CylancePROTECT solution IS the next generation in protection against viruses, malware and whatever other threats that continue to emerge. The product is a proactive solution and does not wait for someone to finally issue the A.P.B. for some new threat that may have already infiltrated the environment. CylancePROTECT has shown that it will stop the threat dead in its tracks, and the user will never even see the file or allow it to run and download that next 'unknown' mutation.
The only dislike I have had is explaining to users why their applications are being blocked, and having to make exceptions for software that I think should be re-evaluated and removed. There is nothing that I have found to dislike about CylancePROTECT.
There is a bit of effort to get the solution to log to our local SIEM. These are not difficult, but for solutions like this an on-premise host is preferred, who can then talk to the vendor systems as needed. Allowing the clients to talk to an internal/on-premise host.
The only issues we encountered were due to the justifiably blocked applications in use within our environment, which should have been reviewed more closely. Though the applications that were blocked had behaviors that gave the appearance of something malicious (e.g. exploit due to memory overwriting), they are valid and used in production and did not get the necessary exceptions before the final 'block' policies were implemented. Additional enforcement to other teams that resist new technologies may have expected the rollout of the product and 'special' applications in use, unfortunately, hindered that process due to fear of breaking. This could have been further avoided had testing been more heavily enforced. It would have also helped to better socialize the rollout, though the 'limited visibility' to the majority of the user community was a decision made to avoid user 'false positives'. These unfortunately still have occurred, but now are more quickly dismissed.
I cannot say it enough - CylancePROTECT is the next generation virus/malware/??? protection solution. It is proactive, it is capable of detecting the unknown and it doesn't sit waiting for the file A.P.B. updates once enough people have fallen victim. The solution has reduced our helpdesk teams efforts with infections and system reimages, and continues to show value against the current AV solution in use today. We were able to deploy this alongside the AV software, monitor for any 'special' software exceptions, and then make the necessary environment exceptions for the final policy that was implemented. The CylancePROTECT client allows us to be confident in our security solution for our users and know that they are protected against threats that may or may not be known. Since the rollout has begun, any alert received for any user system with CylancePROTECT installed (e.g., firewall URL alert) has never been infected or had any malicious software installed onto the system. Users that continue to click on every attachment seem to be slowly vanishing from the helpdesk ticket queue for those reactive anti-virus/anti-malware scanning needs. We also no longer need two solutions for those infected user tickets, one to remove viruses and one to remove malware, they're just not getting infected anymore. The CylancePROTECT product has been remarkable and has also helped us to more closely view some of the software installations that have made their way into our environment. It has also shown 'misbehaving' clients/software and allowed us to validate or correct the behavior. The end result here is even lower CPU and memory usage, beyond the difference between CylancePROTECT and any AV solution on the market today.
We have had to open support cases, and all were quickly answered and follow up was also great. Any issues that were submitted were addressed, and the necessary information provided. Most of the issues we encountered were getting explicit exceptions in place, which we found we were doing it wrong. Once we talked with support, the issues were resolved. The communication with all aspects of Cylance have been great.
CylancePROTECT has been an invaluable addition to our environment. It is only now that we see the scope of what we need to do to further improve the security of our environment, which is quickly identified by CylancePROTECT. The deployment of the client has been very easy through SCCM, and has shown a significant improvement to the required user interactions by the desktop team due to issues missed by the AV solution.

The Cylance agent has an extremely High detection rate for malicious and suspicious activity. The solution has a low false positive rate. Cylance Professional Services and Customer Support are top notch and some of the best vendor interactions I have experienced.
Do not view PUPs as false positives. They could very well be business legit or not harmful. However, they might be against your application policy and "unwanted". They also could be poorly written applications and utilise "markers" that are used in malicious coding. The PUP control is a very extensive and powerful control that can be used to keep your desktop compliance policies in check. Also get a better understanding of how "scripts" are used in your environment and set script controls to "alert" only until you are extremely sure how it will interact with your environment.
It stops malicious and "crap" extremely fast. Cloud-based agent connectivity vs on-prem management systems reduces support needs. The protection and control solution providers have extremely reduced our need to re-image devices and the amount of time it takes to analyse an event. The agent is very light weight and extremely low overhead. Cylance Professional Services and Customer Support is impressive and some of the best.
Web Portal needs more attention in regards to ad-hoc reporting ability and event notification. However, it is not a "dislike" of the product. They are areas that need more enhancement.
Web Portal, Policies and Notifications. All policy controls should be available within the cloud policy and not only at the local physical agent level. With roaming/remote devices and security measures to lock devices down, it can be almost impossible to physically get access to a device to make a change. I see the need to have both options. For us most every device has enough Internet access to constantly sync with the cloud. The web portal needs to enhance ad-hoc reporting (compliance), event notification options and more detailed role management.
I would have expanded my POC deployment to a broader-based group of devices. To get a better understanding of how PUPS and Script Control would have an effect.
Cylance is a great product. There is always room for new features and improvements.
Fast and prompt responses. Knoweledgeable and always able to provide an "option" if a feature is not currently available.
Agent is easy to deploy and configure.
