    Product(s): Casewise Evolve, Casewise Modeler

Adaptive, Easily configurable, Great for the first time or experienced Architect

    Overall Comment

The product is excellent as is the service. Casewise-Suite is a tool that can really improve the understanding of an application/business. Whether an As-Is model or a To-Be design, users Intuitively learn more about an application than they ever would without it.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

Remember this is not Visio. Don't make the mistake of treating it that way. Ensure you understand how to best leverage the application. Enter as much information as you can, You will be glad you did later. Create good naming standards. Ensure you have the correct Templates for what you need. This can become confusing if you don't adhere to good governance.

What do you like most about the product or service?

Capable, Flexible, Easy to use. From simple to extremely complex. This tool has it all. Add Evolve and you get a tool that explains how an application/business works to all those people who never really thought about it before. Like all applications, we had some teething problems. Some were with the tool, others caused by external factors. The Casewise team didn't differentiate. If we had a problem they would stay on it until resolution. They are quick to respond and extremely knowledgeable. Everything you need from a Software Vendor.

If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

Ensure sufficient training is completed by ALL users. Trying to pick it up as you go denies users of the rich analysis that can be derived later. Yes, it is easy to use, but to get the most from it users should understand what it does and why you have it.

    Product capabilities - overall comment

Would like to see a fully web-based version of the application.

Service & support - overall comment

Knowledgeable and quick to respond. Excellent oversight by all levels of the organization, from support staff through CIO & CEO

Integration & Deployment - Overall comment

Deployed on Azure, RDP would not normally have been my first choice for access.

    Product(s): Casewise Modeler

Good product, supporting DoDAF v2.0, and other frameworks.

    Overall Comment

Full function product supporting DoDAF v2.0 and relatively easy learning curve to use compared to similar types of complex architecture solutions.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

Perform a trade study and leverage firms like Gartner for industry research.

    Product(s): Casewise Evolve, Casewise Modeler

Excellent tool plus methodology experts allowed us to reach our goals and more.

    Overall Comment

What stood out was the breadth of the capability and flexibility of the Casewise Modeler combined with the strong technical and business implementation vision complimented with delivery skills of the Casewise team.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

POC your architecture meta-model plus the implementation process, then test against your goals, and iterate, before you roll out to a larger scale.

What do you like most about the product or service?

Flexibility & Capability. Strong Services Support.

What do you dislike most about the product?

The recent upgrade in the user experience addressed most my dislikes.

What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

I think I would like to see a little more model versioning support. It is there but a little more cumbersome than I would like.

If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

We would probably automate / enforce more of the content creation.

    Product capabilities - overall comment

Casewise is extremely capable and flexible. We are also rolling our Evolve to a wider audience which is making the content available to more end users. Evolve has also allowed use to share valuable content with less technical users and business users.

Service & support - overall comment

Casewise is a tool vendor, but I can not speak highly enough of the technical tool and methodolgy support that they provide. They are responsive, they will come onsight or remote whatever we needed. They were also very keen on enabling our staff so that we could transition to fully support ourselves.

Integration & Deployment - Overall comment

Deployment was easy. We have also done a number of integrations using the various tools in the Casewise suite.

    Product(s): Casewise Modeler

Casewise met our expectations to support the implementation of BPM Projects.

    Overall Comment

Casewise has always been a valuable partner to implement our solutions.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

Do not underestimate the fact that Casewise is a great tool but just a key technology component, most part of the value of your applications will come from your business partners, the governance you put around your projects and the processes you put in place to create and maintain the business content.

What do you like most about the product or service?

The flexibility: how easy it is to create new objects and associations on the fly, this was a key success factor when we designed our SOX Compliance project.

What do you dislike most about the product?

The fact that we cannot use Sharepoint to maintain objects content.

What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

I would have loved to have a Sharepoint interface to maintain Casewise content.

If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

Do not start any initiative if you do not have the right governance and business ownership in place.

    Product(s): Casewise Modeler

    Opens the Door for EA.

    Overall Comment

The Casewise Modeler was easy to implement and covered 100% of business needs for Enterprise Architecture. It has transformed how we collect, organize, and display our internal and customer architectures and created a new revenue source for our organization as EA consultants as well as increased efficiencies in house.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

Do not underestimate the applicability of EA across all facets of your organzation or your customer base. We have implmeneted Casewise Modeler in areas we never intended when we started out.

What do you like most about the product or service?

Rapid deployment of architectures to the client.

What do you dislike most about the product?

Heavy IT investment when hosting on site.

Better system architecture documentation and installation guides. It still requires a seasoned systems adminstrator to install, secure, and configure.

If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

Integrated Casewise Modeler into the existing staff instead of having the architects run it as a stand alone IT shop.

    Product capabilities - overall comment

Produces architectures in a manner that is flexible, easy to deploy, and very reusable.

Service & support - overall comment

Casewise is extremely responsive to requests for quotes, technical issues, and general questions about billing and the application.

Integration & Deployment - Overall comment

Casewise Modeler was able to be hosting using existing technology and was implmented by existing systems admin staff.
