AirWatch has been VERY solid for us
Get everything on the backend setup right from the start so that you don't have to keep reinstalling profiles on user's devices.
Very little maintnenance is required to keep it up and running.
The Training and Certification program doesn't make much sense. You can take the classes online, but then you can't take the certification test until paying $1800 for a course that is the exact same material. And the "Expert" level class is for an on-premise solution, which is a class that SAAS customers would never take.
I was not involved in the initial POC, so I can not speak to this.
Possibly roll out the AirWatch Inbox (now called Boxer), to help with security.
They are always fast to respond. My only problem is that sometimes it takes a while for advanced issues or questions to get escalated to the upper teams.

Pros: most feature rich of all the EMM products we reviewed. Quite agile too...they added a new feature just to appease us. Had unique innovative features like Telecom Expense Management and being able to deploy public apps while suppressing access to the public app store
Much more feature rich than their competitors (M360 & MobileIron)
Support is lacking. Basic package support package is pathetic
Basic support package is not enough for any large enterpise. A dedicated support engineer is a must
The deployment package is not a one size fits all. We ended up not being able to complete our deployment with

Initial deployment was bumpy - documentation was not clear; technical staff had limited experience with various deployment options; configuration with internal certification authority was challenging. While I've focused on the bumps in the night, ultimately, we've been able to overcome them all and rely on AirWatch MDM for all our iOS devices (we don't support Android).
Ability to track devices within and outside our environment. Auditing is also very good.
No other comment
Web portal and documentation is satisfactory. Easy to open cases and relatively quick response within documented SLAs.
As previously described, a few bumps during initial deployment, but nothing that could not be overcome.

We use a hosted model solution. Really like the ability to quickly setup and begin use with no investment in infrastructure needed. The console provides access to all supported features and provides a high degree of control. Integration of the Apple DEP and Samsung MEP are extremely valuable provisioning features for the enterprise. The only missing item that I have found, so far is android security patch level, but it isn't clear if this is an EMM issue or one with android.
automated tracking and reporting, rules enforcement, remote wiping black list/white list management. timeliness on platform OS release support.
standard pre-packaged reports don't cover all scenarios, so must resort to custom report creation sometimes.
Very little missing. App catalog and management can improve. can also improve in tracking security patch management for android devices.
3rd party provider makes day-to-day management much easier, and turn-key. Releasing staff need to build-up knowledge and quickly deploy.
Fast setup. Lot's of reporting options to track registration process.

Met all our requirements for features and functions and the ease of implementation was a deciding factor in our decision to adopt the product.
Ease of implementation.
Not the last cost alternative but you get what you pay for.
Fully developed and works as designed.
Support has met all our needs.
Easy to implement.

Great product, but once you get into an upgrade cycle, it can be difficult. You can do some simple things that will make your experience better.
Ease of control of the devices and requires little to no management once configured.
There could have been a better user group at my implementations, but it had vastly improved.
Great, they helped me with every issue.
The pitfall to avoid is to not put everything into a single profile. Use the Smart Groups and different profiles so updating a single profile is made simpler.

AirWatch is a fantastic product, which provides an excellent end user experience. It is very powerful and transparent once deployed. The admin panel is not perfect though, and there is a decent learning curve. The support has ranged from excellent to somewhat disappointing. We had a great initial engagement and knowledge share, but our account manager has changed several times and this has made continuing support frustrating at times.
The capabilities and roadmap are excellent, the minimal impact once a device is imaged is very impressive
I think that the company is growing too fast, this creates for an inconsistant service expirience.
It would be nice if they had a more transparent relationship with Apple.
