    Management console is slow and application is resource hog

    Overall Comment

    Good detection but poor performance on lower end computer. The management console is slow and clunky. Devices are randomly disconnecting from the server.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Do some real world test on the product other than relying on internet reviews

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Nothing.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Pain in the ass in management. Separate endpoint policies for each different product versions.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Focus on newer technologies not on traditional ones. Stop randomly adding half-baked features on the product. It will just make it bloated.

    Do more research

    Mostly, our needs and expectations have been met. This product has been fulfilled all our endpoint security pre-requisite.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Check, double check, triple check your endpoint security needs.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Fast response to our queries and reliability of the software.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    As of the moment I have no problem with this product

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    As of now, we have only deployed two endpoint solutions. We don't have any other antivirus software experience.

    A strong cross platform product to match a heterogeneous environment.

    From the business level, it was a positive and responsive experience in dealing with Kaspersky Lab. We have had a technical team involved in assessing the product, and have found the multi-level security aspects of the products was the main reason for our choosing. The support for the pre-sale engineer was excellent to help address and tackling the objectives we had listed.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Test the deployment in depth. We have had a few minor hiccups as we were rolling out. This is despite we have had 40 users as a pilot.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Centrally managed by various levels of our helpdesk team. Strong anti-malware product with good reporting.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Strict license arrangement means we cannot test new or old systems in a timely manner.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Be flexible with license arrangements. If you bought 500 licenses, only 500 endpoint devices can be installed. All IT areas and IT staff have multiple computers for testing purposes. Our IT department alone used about 60 licenses, even though we only had 25 staff. If Kaspersky allowed 2-3% additional temporary licenses to be activated for 60-days that would help quite a lot. We had to go back and forth removing temporary test computers to recover licenses on the day of deployment.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Review the footprint and resource demand of the product to ensure it meets the lowest tier of supported devices. We had to bring forward our refresh cycle to ensure that Kaspersky product would be able to run adequately.

    Very good response on service and support. Only on one occassion did the support team was a little bit clueless, but that was escalated and had resolved quickly.

    Let the vendor complete the installation. There can be little gotcha's during the process and the Kaspersky guys certainly knew there way around.

    Consider carefully the colleagues that operate outside the company.

    Lacks in some important features like proxy authentication, VPN conflicts, etc.

    Resolve big problem with the proxy authentication module

    The overall product is very good, there is room for improvements but generally, we are very happy.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Definately get the MSA support direct from Kaspersky, they are very knowledgeable and helpful. We have also had issues with 3rd party Kaspersky support companies in the past.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The managemanget console is very clear well structured and easy to use and updating endpoints to newer versions is very easy.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Make the policy update process more seemless, the actual process is easy but it doesn't always push the policy to all endpoints so we end up with some odd desktop behaviour at times.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    We would maybe look at some of the slightly newer technologies to see if they would be better placed to fulfil all our needs

    My experience with this vendor lasts several years and I have a plesure to do business with. Vendor have a lot of products which meet my expectations. Such as corporate antivirus including mobile one, single control console.

    You can get fully qualified support from one of the strong vendors all ower the world.

    Convenient manageability and ease of operation of the system.

    May be corporative pricing.

    Don't no at this moment, may be faster deployment to the regions.

    One of the best corporate mobile antivirus at least 3-4 years including product capabilities.
