Gartner defines the enterprise wired and wireless LAN infrastructure market as that of vendors supplying wired and wireless networking hardware, and the related network software. Products in this market enable devices and end users to connect to the enterprise wired LAN or Wi-Fi network in support of the required organizational mission. Supported network devices are inclusive of end-user-operated devices such as laptops, smartphones and networked office equipment; and non-user-operated devices such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
"We have a relationship with Extreme Networks. It feels good."
Being a manufacturing company with 24/7 production, it is always imperious to assure connection's reliability and availability. Maintenance windows should not be exceeded, and "second day downtimes" (after LAN maintenance or new implementation) are not tolerated. In these strict conditions the production site migrated the network core to Extreme Fabric after a very careful planning and flowless execution which was supervised be Extreme Networks. Since then, we (local IT) are enjoying a trustful and fruitful relationship with Extreme Networks; where we benefit of advice in design and implementation of Extreme Management Center, Extreme Control, diagnose with Analytics during complex network segmentation of production floor network.
"Meraki is the way to go if you want to keep it simple and provide the best."
Meraki has been a godsend since we implemented. Downtime was dropped significantly. Overall satisfaction with our infrastructure also was increased significantly. We went from a traditional setup (controller/APs) to the cloud based controller and haven't looked back. Ease of use has been outstanding. Overall efficiencies gained for our employees (both internal to the IT department and external) have been improved dramatically.
"Robust Wireless Appliances with Complex Configuration"
We have been using the solution for almost 5 years. In terms of performance and availability, we have faced no downtime with current appliances. But in terms of making new configurations, we do need external support to make changes as some configurations are a bit complex.
"Cisco LAN Switches-Best product ever"
cisco lan switches are great switches for enterprise network. these devices are robust, reliable and hardened, and operate in the same way day in day out for years. we are using it for years and some of the devices have never been shut or restarted. there are no issues over such long period
"Mist Access Points Are Great for K12"
Setup and installation of the Mist access points has been simple and fast. Our Mist sales rep and support engineer have been great with any assistance needed and getting back to me when I have questions. My customer service experience with Mist has been first rate.
"Reliable and cheap product with fantastic performance"
We have used a variety of UniFi access points including the long range, lite, in-wall and outdoor. Every one of them has offered fantastic performance and reliability, whilst coming in at a great great price. We've deployed around 300 of their AP's in the last couple of years and only had 1 or 2 completely fail on us. The price blows the likes of Cisco out of the water, however their performance isn't compromised for the lower price point, nor is the product support or updates. We have been using UniFi AP's for several years and still deploy them on a weekly if not daily basis, this month alone we've installed over 20 of them.
"Stable and Powerful box switch, good AP partner"
Very stable and powerful box switch, and the poe function is very good. It can keep the AP powered all the time. In addition, Huawei Campus Switches are easy to deploy. The remote unit does not occupy much space. There is no fan in the box. This reduces the noise generated by the device and is friendly to the office environment.
"FortiGate Next-gen firewall"
I had a little bit of a learning curve originally setting the FortiGate up, but once it was up and running it's been great. I originally wasn't intending to use some of the features like the SSL VPN, but they would up being too compelling to not try out.
"Extreme delivers the products that we need with minimal configuration and solid support."
Extreme's vision for the pairing of the wired and wireless LAN is exceptional. They understood the needs of our environment and were able to position the right product for our application. The CloudIQ has been a very solid product for us. We are very happy with the support we receive, and how well the back end API functions to give us the ability to customize some aspects of the product. Every step of the way I feel like Extreme really values us as a customer. The sales process was very smooth, and the salesperson was able to get us all the information we needed as we weighed our decisions. Since the purchase, we've gotten a lot of support and advice from the engineering team as we implemented the solution.
"High speed with stable connection"
Four Huawei APs were deployed in our office area. We found that the occasional wireless disconnection did not occur again. In addition, video conferences did not experience frame freezing. After lunch, large-scale online interactive games were smooth. In our company, we no longer need 4G/5G Internet access. Huawei's wireless AP solves the problem of slow WiFi network rate and occasional disconnection.
"Cloudvision is THE Essential Component to Insure Success with an Arista Network"
We have deployed the Arista Spine-Leaf data center network in several data center environments. Each environment utilizes Cloudvision for configuration management, monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting. Cloudvision has a wealth of capabilities that provide a depth of monitoring and management that other solutions struggle to achieve. Cloudvision is definitely a key component to deliver a fully managed data center network solution. The built-in Change Control function is essential for managing configuration updates to network devices. It allows us to stage the updates, run device updates in parallel, serial, or a combination of these, and also provides the ability to back out updates, if necessary. Having the ability to do this across a large number of network devices is essential, whether these devices are in the data center (as ours are), or if they are across an enterprise network.
"Found a new favorite network vendor"
The devices cover all of our needs and have an easy to understand license model. This is important to us as we changed our vendor due to their new license model (we had Cisco before) The software quality is really good and in case we have a question the TAC is offering great and fast support. The Wifi management gives us a great overview over the access points. In the new version we can also see to which switch & port the AP is/was connected to because it sends the data it sees via LLDP to the management. That way it's much easier to troubleshoot why an access point went offline. Also the data can be requested via the API which helps us for our inventory.
"Cisco Wireless Access Points, Rock Solid Performers!"
The only thing that I don't like about Cisco wireless access points is the time it takes to determine what access points might be deprecated by the next software upgrade to the wireless LAN controllers. Don't get me wrong, all the documentation is there it just takes quite a bit of time to read everything and make the determination. Someone really needs to automate the process. That said, doing upgrades can be a little time intensive, but not that much worse than any other system we maintain. Running Cisco wireless is for the most part, a very hands off experience. It delivers wireless services to our end users and to our guests and has really become like the AC in the wall. It just works. On the rare occasion when things do happen the tools are there to help you troubleshoot the issue fairly quickly.
"Dynamic access and control for a growing industry."
We are able to manage and provide network access to any customer no matter size or requirements. We have to configure and manage three buildings worth of wireless access for various clientele. We have three sports teams in a 10,000 seat arena, a 4900 seat Theatre and a three floor Exhibit space that needs to have dynamic access for all of our events. We also have to support a growing number of enterprise clients to include a full Point of Sales system, all requiring Wi-Fi access. With all that Extreme Wi-Fi access along with XiQ offers, we are able to address all of our clients need for each event or special request. The streamlined process of building out network based policy and push it out to the access points is second to none.
"Exceptional in making and delivering in transformation products and services."
The network transformation we are actively undergoing has been a very large project that began with clear ideas of what we wanted and getting multiple vendors to provide proposals on how to get there. HPE has stood well above their competition at first showing how they can not only meet, but also esceed those expectations and now that we are fully in implementation stages, actually delivering on those promises.
"General installation like other brands But should add features that are still improving, s"
From 3 years of experience, I think 1. There is still interference from access points from other brands. 2. Security systems are not working well enough. 3. Some feature controllers are still less than Cisco and Aruba. 4. Supports many users, works well 5. Very good data transmission efficiency
