Starwind provides excellent support, which begins in pre-sale phase, to explain some doubts, then during purchasing, delivery and of course they send pre-configured systems - appliances, with guidelines how all system should be connected. Their technical support help us with the migration of our existing VMs to their system, well prepared, without any downtimes and data losses.
If you are SOHO customer and you are not looking for huge solutions, Starwind is perfect for you. You can run your whole infra systems on 3 boxes with total size 6U in rack. No 10G switch needed, really save the costs compare to traditional solutions. I can highly recommend their technical support as well. I like the idea doing free webinars every month.
We purchased 3 appliances and we running 50 - 60 VMs without problems. I will probably go same setup, but consider add more memory to have reserve during maintenance one of the servers.
Excellent support during migration, go-live with their solution and also when we contact support during live phase - post implementation.

We didn't have any issue during pre-sales, purchasing and implementation / go-live process. We are satisfiied with the product simplicity, how easy it can be implemented. Starwind technical people were supporting us during whole process of implementation and live-migration of systems. They have very good documentation, webforums, and regular webinars, which are really helpfull. We moved our whole infrastructure to the Starwind HCA applianced with Hyper-V failover cluster.
Purchase proactive / extended suppport, it is worth it, they have excellent technical people.
The fact that you dont need any SAN switch / switches up to the 4 nodes installation. Also that in Hyper-V environment you dont need any virtual machine for storage management, but you have this built in Windows.
I will consider to buy more memory at the beginning to have used all the memory slots.
We used Starwind support during the implementation, go-live and migration phase and after go-live when solving notification from system and executing firmware upgrade. I was satisfied with their technical skills and guidance.
