    Simplivity technology was a game changer for us. The overall Efficiency of resources including Disk, ease of Deployment, and backup restores times are amazing. We have had some hardware issues with the Lenovo's

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    its important to understand the technology and the way hyperconvergence works. The type of deployment both on the stack and VMs will make a difference if you understand the unconvential concepts

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Overall support has been great. The product does exactly what it advertises. The efficiecy of DISK and speed and agility of Restores is second to None.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    We depend to much on support. As a customer i would like more visibility and tools to be able to manage independently. Also, increased monitoring and dashboard views

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    When an incident occurs, I would like Support to automatically do a RCA and send to the customer for later reference. We have needed to ask for this each time.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We started the deployments with DEV\QA, then went to Datacenter critical VMs, then to our MIll locations. After Dev\QA i would have started in the Mills to finish the techonology refresh before the Datacenters

    SimpliVity is all about SimpliCity!!!

    SimpliVity is an excellent manufacture of Hyperconverged Technology. They've have gone out of their way to help with the implementation and maintenance of their technology and all connected technologies. Everyone at SimpliVity is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We've had very few issues with SimpliVity, but on tech calls they quickly get through the client information and on to the trouble at hand.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Be open to new technologies as this one can be a bit of a mind bender. In our case it allowed us to increase our backup frequency locally, but move importantly to our DR / BC site which also houses SimpliVity gear.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    It's so simple to use and if you have any issues they quickly respond.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Lack of host storage expansion.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Allow its customers to expand storage within a host without having to purchase an entirely new host.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    As far as SimpliVity goes very little would change. Maybe we'd have moved faster to this technology as it Simply just works!

    -Great data centre solution -Excellent performance -Excellent support team -Straight forward architecture -Quick backups and restore processes -Less cabling in data centre -Less rack space

    -avail a proof of concept equipment at a customer site to quicken the solution evaluation and approval process

    -plan and decide early on how the data sets should be clustered to ensure quick migration and changeover

    Phenomenal performance & easy to deploy. Simplivity is a step above the rest!

    The overall experience is amazing. The performance given by the cubes exceeded expectations. The features added by Simplivity in regards to Compression and deduplication as well as the instant backup/restore fuction has increaded overall productivity in all areas of our company. From creating VM's to SQL jobs/tasks completing hours quicker than on our legacy hardware.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    1. The instant backup and restore functions is amazing. It took me around 35 seconds to restore a vm of 13TB after a major data loss. 2. The Compression and Deduplication makes moving data around between host incredible fast. 3. The outstanding performance of the cubes. 4. Simplivity Support. They are the best support team I have ever worked with. They are always patient, but most importantly they always find the solution to your issues.

    Simplivity to the rescue

    Overall Comment

    As an early adopter of SimpliVity’s hyperconverged infrastructure, we’ve seen significant benefits of the solution. SimpliVity reduced our data center footprint from 20U to 4U, increased our application delivery performance by 75%, and lowered operational costs in a major way. We chose SimpliVity over other vendors because Simplivity is architected with inline dedupe and compression, includes simple backup and data protection for all our VMs, and can be managed centrally from one interface through VMware vCenter. The SimpliVity support team is world class.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    When choosing a HCI vendor make sure you compare apples to apples. There is too much hype in the marketplace. It's very hard to decipher what is marketing and what is backed by engineering. At the "end of the day" you are leveraging commodity compute and making a decision on what company utilized those resources most efficiently.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The simplicity, ease of use, and cost savings delivered by the SimpliVity hyperconverged solution with Cisco UCS is far superior to other market solutions we have reviewed. Implementation was quick, straight-forward and easy to deploy.

    I feel we took too long in making a decision to implement HCI.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Definetly look at the live demos, all performed exceptionally and that is exactly what we received. Our budget was leading to smaller units product line until we looked at all the features available. Replacing a stand-alone backup solution with one built into the product as well as provisioning room for DVI implementation allowed us to purchase a bigger unit than we originally intended.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The product included more than we were originally looking and we have seen benefits consolidating functions and administration.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    The vendor was on point and timely with information, demonstrations and pricing.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    This product fit our business need perfectly, all decisioning and demos prior to purchase went smoothly. We would not have done anything differently.

    Simplivity-the solution that deploys, performs and is reliable like it was sold to us.

    Overall Comment

    Our deployment case involved replacing physical servers with virtualization, improving backup and failover capabilities and reducing time spent on systems managment. The deployment for our Simplivity cubes was so easy we did it ourselves with almost no help required from the vendor. The built in Wizards made configuration a breeze and everything worked from the start as it had been sold to us. We began by migrating a few low priority servers into the virtual environment to test and verify all features, capabilties and stability, which were all quickly validated. We then finished deploying all of our production workloads (SQL, core banking applications, Active Directory, File Servers, Systems managment apps, etc.) and setup backup policies to protect the environment. It was amazing how simple the environment is to manage from within the vSphere client interface and the time no longer required to spend on "care and feeding" to keep the systems at optimum performance. It really does "just work" and now we can concentrate our resources on deploying applications, supporting end users and improving efficiencies. The Simplivity support team is top notch and you can be assurted that when you call them the first person you talk to knows the product like any other level three technician you have dealt with. Our expections were exceeded and it turned out to be great decision for us.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Spend the time to talk to customers, do the research online from reputable sources. That time was well spent and yielded great insights that helped me decide beyond price and the normal sales hype.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    We no longer have to fight and spend time to get storage and processing power to work together efficiently. Our performace is great and latency is a thing of the past for us.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Not to be a total fan boy--but I really do like the product and have nothing bad to say. This experience has been so differnt from past deployments I ahve been involved with that never lived up to their hype.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Honestly nothing. They were very available for discussions, demos and the entire process was very transparent. I never felt like I was getting a "smoke and mirrors" presentation. They were upfront about capabilities, features that were missing and what was actually on the roadmap and in devlopment. Those things have actually happened, so promises were made and kept.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    I would not change anything. We spent considerable time on our due dilligence evaluation of hyperconverged platforms. We were able to select Simplivity over Nutanix and all our reasons have been validated throughout our deployment and use the past two years.

    Simplified Data Center Management

    Overall Comment

    The pre-installation to post-installation process has been great compared to our past experience with other products, since the vendor has constantly been in communication with us including paying us courtesy calls severally. Also, the migration from the old system was seamless. Finally we've carried out 3 failover technical drills to the DR, that has been successful.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Don't listen to the competition's perception of Hyperconverged solutions. Also, if you're not convinced by Simplivity Reps, ask for customer references for an one-on-one feedback

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Switching to the DR is fast; Backing and Testing VMs in an isolated environment is much fast; Less bandwidth consumption to the DR

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Adopt Simplivity earlier since we lost a few years tinkering with other technologies.

    Make sure you get enough hardware to replace all of your existing infrastructure because you're going to want to switch everything onto the platform.

    how it just worked, and worked well. while being very very fast.

    having our hands a little tied during implentation. there were certain aspects of the deployment that only simplivity engineers had access to do.
