    Product(s): RSA Archer GRC Platform

    Great platform to enable workflow, but desperately needs enhancements in reporting and analysis.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Purchase 'On Demand Applications' (ODAs) instead of core modules. ODAs do not have an annual service fee and are fully configurable to fit an organization's needs. Configuration is easy enough to not need the 'template' provided by out-of-the-box designed modules.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ease of implementation and adaptability to enable nearly any process.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Out-dated UI and very limited reporting / analytics capability.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    They should focus more on a mobile platform as well as enhance the user interface. The platform is structurally sound from a functionality standpoint, but it feels dated from the users' perspective.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Our implementation has been rather seamless, so we would not change anything as far as the approach taken with the software. However, we would internally drive standardization prior to enablement (e.g. meta- / contextual data from safe sources).

    The RSA Archer product is very stable and out of the box solutions are very useful. RSA Archer is the most flexible, powerful and easy to use Risk GRC Solution in the market. RSA Archers integrated reporting capabilities are extremely powerful and easy to use.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Ensure that the business objectives are well understood and the software solutions are built to meet the business objectives.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Product flexibility, feature set, easy to use, and reporting capabilities.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Limitations when integrating RSA Archer Cloud solution with other systems.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Offer more integration options with the cloud offering.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Scope requirements in a bit more detail at the beginning of the project to ensure a more accurate estimate of configuration effort can be achieved.

    RAS Archer provided a true partnership to achieve the desired outcome for our organisation. Their commitment to us achieving our objectives went beyond what you would normally expect from a software vendor.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Spend more time understanding what the system does out of the box as this would most likely meet their needs, rather than building bespoke functionality.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Broad offering with a simple ability to configure. Dashboards and workspaces can be used to promote risk visibility and ownership.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    More custom reporting can be difficult to build. Lack of vendor supplied local compliance libraries.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Firmer encouragement of customers to use out of the box functionality rather than more custom design.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Earlier attendance of vendor 'administration' training to understand system design and capabilities. Adopt a more agile approach to avoid over-analysis in the early design phase.

    Fantastic product, very flexible.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Purchase the enterprise management solution and use the out-of-box solutions as much as possible.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    The flexibility to customize their solutions.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    I wish the application provided activity logging where it would be easy to review the activity performed by system administrators.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    Their billing process is cumbersome.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Stay in house rather than move to on-prem.

    Very flexible tool which can be customized to meet your risk and compliance needs.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Make sure you have a strategy early on and avoid customizing until users have a chance to use it. The tendency is to change everything to match your process where using the time to reevaluate your processes prior to automation will make the long-term solution better.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Ability to customize the solution to meet the needs of our business partners without the need to involve the vendor. This is truly the benefit of Archer over some of its competitors.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    The biggest complaint is the user interface is a little dated. While the next version will address part of this, I still think there is some room for improvement in the user experience even after the next version is implemented.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    I really do not have any issues with RSA. I believe they offer a strong product and I understand they also need to balance the functionality provided and the stability/usability of the product. So there are things I wish the product could do better. However, I understand why those options may not be available. Luckily, we find workarounds in about every situation.
