Jira is a powerful tool, but the full breadth of its capabilities has been steadily stripped away and sold back to users.  It is very clear Atlassian now loves the money more so than the problem/need they originally set out to resolve.  

In general, their products are becoming stale - coming out for costly (returns of previously native) functionality long after the user community (probably the best aspect of Atlassian) have already devised solutions to address Jira's shortcomings.  It is a pretty bad look to essentially steal your customer's workarounds, package them up and sell them back as original ideas.

There are some challenges and limitations but again, thats with every tool  Most of the people perceive JIRA just a ticketing tool or an issue tracker. But There's more to it. A lot more. Their support team is well informed and guides in time to any query or troubleshoot.
