    Consideration of Duck Creek implementation

    Overall Comment

    So far, product/vendor has been a great partner. Vendor allowed us to visit the datacenter where our instance of the application would be housed. All IT Security related concerns have been mitigated quickly due to knowledgeable vendor staff. Largest item still under consideration is the implementation of their agency portal components. While we have not implemented in production yet, the project is proceeding well.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Really take the time to look into the services offerred by the vendor particularly in the ISO update space. This will result in time savings and faster cycle times for these specific updates.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    Like the fact that this sits on top of Azure which is reliable and scalable. Product allows our internal staff to spend more time on value add efforts as opposed to maintaining the infrasctructure and other updates that used to consume their time.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Nothing at this time. May find something as we move to full implementation.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    NA

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Take more time to understand the ongoing support capabilities of the vendor. Initial research made us confident that all support for the application would remain within the US. Later into design we found that day to day maintenance and patching was performed offshore by a third party company. While this wasn't a show stopper, our IT Security team had concerns around who had access to our data, how were they vetted, etc.
