Overall the upgrade to ClaimCenter 8 (we had CC4) went well, but the process of converting to BillingCenter/PolicyCenter from our legacy systems has proven challenging and taking signficantly longer then the vendor estimated it would.
Increase the amount of time estimated by the vendor by at least 1.5x, be ready to rapidly scale outward the systems available for testing. I'd recommend having a solid strategy in place that allows for ready-made virtual host deployments.
Increase the amount of time estimated by the vendor by at least 1.5x, develop a better testing plan. Our testing environment has scaled greatly during this process to accomidate unanticipated requirements.
