HEINEKEN + JDA: real Integrated Business Planning is real!

Great and sophisticated software. The tendency of overpromising in the sales pitch and lower demonstrated capabilities to real execution on promised by Solution architects and Solution consultants. We have discovered that our business requirements were also quite new for JDA. However, in good collaboration on all levels, we have found solutions for this as real business partners. The vendor can and should make an improvement in consulting delivery skills and program management delivery.


Implementation took time to fully leverage new software features

The product itself was very mature at the time of implementation. However, we were among the first to leverage new feature specific to that version which required upgrading a later version, and ended up delaying deployment. Overall the product did work as intended, though with significant complexities for the specific features (Plan by Attribute). These features have been improved in the Product since then. The Technical Leads for the implementation were up to the task of deployment once the new feature issue were resolved. They adapted quickly, especially for the first time out using the new features.
