Perfect for SMB needs and cost effective.

Insightly was perfect for a start-up just beginning to need a CRM implementation. It was very cost effective and intuitive to use. We did not seek to use it for a lot of intense reporting, but more a simple management system. It served its purpose very well.

Insightly has helped our organization's customer service and lead management, as well as coordinate schedules and projects between employees. The product is usable and has a simple interface, but lacks some of the in-depth features that bigger rivals like Salesforce offer.

Good product but would like to see more automation and integrations. We have a standard sales process but have to select it each time. Would like more integration of custom fields to pandadoc, from google forms for extended data collection.

Great User Experience Hampered by Licensing and Inconsistent Integrations

Once we implemented the tool, I found that it was personally easy to use and configure. We established a standard pipeline and deal process that could be shared across team members. The wheels fell off when we started trying to collaborate on reports and metrics. We needed a small set of licenses (under 5), since our business development team is relatively small. What was originally an inexpensive, cost driven Software as a Service (SaaS) solution became incredibly pricey for the money. Furthermore, features that were originally promising started working inconsistently. We use Google Docs for internal calendaring and email features. Synching our calendars with Insightly would work some of the time. We missed a few sales meetings and follow ups, which are killer to a business of our size. I liked the look and feel of the solution much more than the alternatives that we reviwed (Zoho and Salesforce). Unfortunately, we were better off holding a weekly pipeline development meeting.
