    Product(s): SAP Cloud for Sales

The implementation was supposed to be done by SAP themselves, but a third-party was needed

    Overall Comment

SAP failed to implement the product efficiently and a third-party vendor was needed to finalize the implementation successfully. Also, the HCI integration between the on-premise SAP-CRM application and the cloud-based application is not functioning as expected, requiring intervention again from the third-party vendor.

What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

The HCI interface is not available for all elements and does not work as smooth as advertised. Also, getting data out of the cloud solution for use in other applications is not easy. Make sure that you are fully aware of your needs and document SLAs with SAP to hold them accountable.

What do you like most about the product or service?

It is a robust product that seems to work properly.

What do you dislike most about the product?

The challenges to get data out of the cloud through webservice calls, the lack of intellegent mapping functions within the product (e.g. customers along a route).

What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

Rather than give us the sales pitch of what they can do, I wished they had worked with us to identify what our true needs were.

If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

Wait until the cloud solution is mature enough to support all of the functionality currently available in the on-prem solution so that the integration between the two can be avoided.

Integration & Deployment - Overall comment

SAP planned to do the deployment themselves, but failed to deliver. A knowledgeable third-party vendor was engaged who got this done.
