Our experience has been fantastic - from working with the sales person to the implementation to the present - everyone has been engaged in making us successful. The partnership, care along with a great product line allows us to provide the best to our sales representatives.
When looking for a sales compensation tool, do not just look at cost. Look at the entire picture: you want a company that will be your partner and an advocate for your success. You also want a system that is simple to use that way if you ever have turned over it and will be easy for someone else to step into the compensation admin role. If you have terms in your business that are specific to your company/business have these laid out for your implementation.
We really like the ease of the system - how easily plans and reports can be created and run. We also have Premium plus Support because my team does not only manage sales compensation but has other functions and responsibilities with Sales Operations. They assist us with our more tedious tasks such as building rate tables as well as look to them to provide us with best practices or guidance when we have some questions when implementing new plan designs. Customer Service is outstanding! Also, through the user idea portal, they really listen to the users when making enhancements to the system.
With all the recent updates to the system, there is nothing I don't like other than the 2-hour window for running analytic reports.
We have Analytics and wish the updates could be run when we would like, rather than waiting for 2 hours for the reports to update.
Having gone through the process previously as well as considering to build a tool in-house we learned the importance of creating a list of definitions to assist the implementation team and to provide them a better understanding of our business and terms. This made our implementation process goes very smooth. Also, the first time we went through this process we looked at the ability of customization because we thought we needed it. We realized after going through a customized system that it was too difficult to manage and realized that customization is not always better.
Customer Service is fantastic! Our Premium Plus Support folks are amazing and always there for any needs we have.
It was very methodical and the team really took the time to understand us, our systems and needs.

Love Xactly!! So much better than using spreadsheets!!! We save so much calculation time and our reps. Love being able to view their details.
Ask other customers how they use it, go to CompCloud and see the product capabilities, and rely on strong consultants to guide you on best practices rather. Have long term goals semi thought of rather than going strictly based on current because that could ultimately change how some features are built to save time later.
User functionality! Having sales reps and managers view their commission details really allows us to motivate them to do more.
I wish there was a calculation icon that stayed on the page, even if you left the queue.
Not much, but I would like a calculation icon that stayed on the screen if there was a batch currently calculating, even if you changed screens within Incent. That would save me a lot of time while loading files rather than continuously going back and forth.
We would have utilized more lookup tables from implementation rather than going more formula based. We've since changed a lot to enable our efficiencies.
Could go a little quicker on technical questions, but great overall.

I have been using Analytics module diligently, and being an Analyst it is an effective module and a time-saving tool.
I am extremely happy creating functional commissions report using Analytics module.

Xactly Incent is a great product and Xactly is a great company. The program works great and is constantly improving. The company listens to its users and implements improvements all the time.

Xactly is a very powerful and easy to use tool for commission eligable employees and managers, granting them access to review and track all commissions that pertain to them. Xaxtly is a very stable product we have never had issues with down time or loss of data. Xactly support and help information is easy to use and understand.
Xactly is only as accurate as the data you feed into it. Make sure your data is correct.
The prodcut is updated throughout the year.
Keep configuration and reports updated as new fetures became available. So many changes have happened since we started using Xactly within our company and with what the software can offer. For several years with "just did what we did last year". Stay ahead of the game and update your configuration more often.

What can I say? I'm an Incent fan! We started using Incent in 2011. From the curriculum and learning modules during the Admin training, to the application configuration, both Administrators and end users love the ease of how intuitive the navigation is within the system. We chose Incent because it dovetails with our company values, it pairs very nicely with Salesforce.com using SSO, and it fit our company budget. One of the many benefits that I've seen over the years is the ability to load data on a nightly basis so that our salesreps can truly have a live one-stop-shop and see what they're closing every day. Another benefit is the ease of programming the system for year over year changes. We had Xactly configure the system for us in the beginning, but due to the classes and the hands-on experience, we were able to do the configuration on our own with minimal support from Xactly Incent and that is a beautiful thing! The last benefit example I will use is the ability to have eDocs to manage all salescomp-related documents routed and housed in one place. I would recommend Incent to any company. It's very innovative, intuitive, and we haven't been able to stump them yet, even with the most complex configuration!
Invest in Premium Support, Sandbox, eDocs, and advanced Analytics training!
