The product was new and immature. We were pretty disappointed with it. Forefront online was such a great product and we had high expectations for EOP but it never lived up to it's potential.

Desired a DLP solution as part of Exchange 365 environment. This feature was part of the enterprise license agreement, but not implemented. VAR promised to implement solution, but the technology did not work as advertised. The native E365 solution would not work with files attached to emails (including DOCX and XLSX), had unacceptably high percentages of false positives for PII which could not be resolved by tuning, and would not scan incoming email.

System blocks most spam while rarely blocking a legitimate message. I'm not aware that we have ever had an outage. There were a few complexities in gettting started, but the reseller was able to lead us through them.

The rollout was very simple and we were able to migrate easily from our old anti-spam product. While it definately was better than what we had, it is lacking compared to other offerings.

In the early stages of adoptions certain aspects of this service lacked maturity and consistency, but the year-over-year progress in both functionality and ease of use continues to be impressive.

We signed an EA with Microsoft - the more we get into it, the worse it is. Constantly misunderstanding what we are supposed to be getting - Vendor constantly also misunderstanding what we are supposed to be getting. Makes this very frustrating. We are told one thing and then find out something completely different.

Working on the implementation was great. No issues went unresolved, good response.

When we implemented EOP it lacked standard features available with competing products i.e. Proofpoint and Cisco IronPort. Since then however its caught up with the anti-malware feature sets specifically speaking URL re-writing and sandboxing functionality. We haven't been compromised, so it's been good experience though improved granularity in settings related to anti-spam settings would be great.

My only concern is regarding licensing and costs. While they can be clarified with a little work, the pricing seems to fluctuate at times and causes me some concern over the long haul as I could see the fees increasing.
