Our experience with Mimecast has been second to none. We had an outstanding PM help us migrate to the service and immediately saw improved results. The downtime and disruption was non-existant.
Do your homework, review the Mimecast and other offers with your Gartner resources.
Ease of implementation, results of the product once in place.
No dislikes do far.
Nothing. They fit our need exactly.
Move to Mimecast sooner.

The product is adequate and has a number of outstanding features. However, the support available is terrible.
Establish a solid line of communication with support/client management to ensure escalation paths for issues.
The anti-phishing technology is superb.
Terrible support. Support staff are in the UK, which can make for delays for US based companies.
Support in the US, and better feedback for tickets/problems.
Consider more alternative providers.

MimeCast meets our Legal Services requirements.
The service stops SPAM and URl filtering for nearly 95% of our emails. This in turn results in less infections and phishing infiltration.
None so far.
Provide quicker notification of any outages.

We have been relatively pleased with the initial features and performance. Additional functionality that other vendors are including in their base feature set are offered only as additional cost items here. Their most innovative offering of late involves re-writing all URL links adversely impacting years of user training to be cautious of re-written links.
Look at all the innovative options in the industry, and be sure you watch extra-cost options.
Organization and search of the journal.
Better assistance with handling the rapidly evolving phishing, spear phishing, whaling, etc. campaigns. They miss a lot.
Consider a more distant future on next product evaluation, as some features here have effectively locked us into this product line.

A number of spams were cut down. End users are happy with the results.
Look into all the products they sell to determine needs but that you can add on quickly if there is something in the future that you need.

Pricing was good in comparison to Proofpoint, install went well but we had two major issues with spam and phishing attack in the first three days after go live and have had another incident. Product is living up to expectation.
Make sure you understand their features. We have had three issues that we never saw with our old product and have been really disappointed.

More can be done from an implementation perspective but the process is well defined and robust.
Although not as big as Proofpoint in the space, they have the right plan and approach, speed to market for resilient solutions, forward thinking in their solutions.
Package the professional services along with the package and create more options for the change management process as their core capabilities are non-standard and needs to be communicated accordingly.
Get professional services for implementation. It will make the process smoother. As the cost is not too great, it is a no brainer. Would pick the solution over any one in the space.

Product has performed well and support has been excellent.
Do your due diligence and check out other products, but I think for the money you'll not find a better solution.
Easy to use and support is great. They are also forward looking in implementing new technologies to protect us from emerging threats.
Manual purging of the accounts, and, since I use a Mac, I'd have to pay extra to integrate their mail addon into my MacMail.
The only thing we don't really like about them is that the AD integration doesn't work in reverse. If we add a new employee, it gets added to Mimecast automatically, but if someone leaves, we have to manually purge their account from Mimecast.
Support is very responsive and usuually solves the problem and first time.
Onboarding team did a great job outlining the process, answering questions and helping me implement the product.

We continue to be very pleased with the reliability, features and support. Once initial configuration was completed we have had no need to modify central config settings. We regularly go in to the portal to modify stationery or group settings. When we have a question the support team has been very responsive and explains things effectively.
As I mentioned earlier this product, Mimecast, checked all of our boxes for what we were looking for. We asked for a couple of references during the evaluation stage and were able to ask pointed and specific questions. I always encourage when evaluating a product ask for references.
It is so easy to use, manage and tweak for the admins and so simple for the end user. It simply works.
I mentioned this earlier - it is expensive, but worth it.
The product is fairly expensive. It does a lot but the price point was a concern for us. We determined that the features and reliability justified the cost and still moved forward. No regrets.
The one thing we would have done differently was to perform a better job of informing our employees of the huge benefit of the archiving. We emphasized with our staff how to control spam while only mentioning the archiving feature. This feature has helped us on countless occasions.
Mimecast Archiving and Security continue to meet our needs. Our employees find it so easy to use and helpful, so very helpful.
I am continually pleased with their support. On the times I am unable to obtain an answer from the self service options the support team has been great! They take the time to answer my questions and explain so that I understand both the how and the why.
We had no down time even though we had multiple changes happening at once. The proper route to take was fully explained and the implementation group was great to work with. They made sure our needs were met throughout the process.
