The implementation was done in stages and went remarkably well. First, we modified our MX records to route via Mimecast. Second, we made the necessary Mimecast to Exchange server configurations. Third, we installed the Mimecast software on our Outlook clients. There were no noticable outages to the Outlook users. The SAML single sign-on capability did not initially work or wasn't supported by our provider, however, this was fixed with an upgrade to the Mimecast software within 3 months.

Mimecast was very easy to implement and took the risk associated with email down to a minuscule level. This implementation took a few hours of preparation (opening ports, rules, planning for MX record changes) and about 10 minutes to make the changes. We performed a two-phased approach funnelling our outbound email through Mimecast first, then swapping the inbound. We ended up with less than 5 minutes of "down" time. This product has great security and management features.

From the first meeting, it was obvious that the solution was exactly what we needed Technical sales answered all our questions, and the migration was well organized and went smoothly. We experienced no problems after migration, so all in all a very good experience

Seamless integration and virtually no issues. Mature and proven technology that simply works. Setup was well managed by Mimecast as was the handover to service. Most encouraging was to receive new functionality to counter the changing threat landscape as part of the service rather than at additional cost. I do feel that there could be better reporting which would be the only downside to an excellent product that works well with light touch configuuration and without a raft of false positives.
