    Best solution to handle our 10GB Internet. Meets most needs but not all.

    Overall Comment

    The iboss has overall been a very good solution with a high level of customization, good support and frequent updates to adapt to changes in the Internet. There are still some areas that can be improved upon.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Roll out SSL decryption at rollout of web filter. You will have nagging issues until you do so. Tune this along side your production environment with a test bed of users for as long as needed. This is not a turn key solution.

    What do you like most about the product or service?

    It does an excellent job of blocking new threats and proxies. Updates are frequent and timely.

    What do you dislike most about the product?

    Unlike other similar solutions, you must keep a window open or minimized to maintain your appropriate access rights if you use the authentication method. This is challenging for many users.

    What one thing do you wish the vendor did differently?

    I would have preferred a single or active/standby setup capable of handling 10GB (with SSL on) rather than a load balancer and 5 units.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    I would have immediately implemented an SSL decryption option upon deployment when providing end user training. I would have also tuned it for a longer period.
