The product does most of what is advertised fairly well. Reporting is still terrible, URL filtering management is average at best, authentication/user management leaves something to be desired. Support is not good. (often days between return calls when opening a case) Overall, you get what you pay for and this product was really inexpensive.

It has a quality malware protection with perks, and it has the lowest system impact. We were satisfied with Sophos until August 2016 when the last version supporting OS X 10.7 and earlier (9.4.2) stopped adding new virus definitions. It also has very efficient security features, including internet protection, email protection, and remote device detection to scan removable media.

Vendor has released patches that caused problems and has been slow to remediate. This has happened several times.

Appliances have a full feature set, no matter the throughput. This allows for seamless administration across all locations.

The customer service support is lacking, it is almost impossible to get someone on the phone and the email support or response time is unacceptable when dealing with emergencies and the suppoet is less than personal.
