EventTracker - has everything you need with a few bells and whistles.

I like EventTracker. We initially bought it with the managed service capabilities because the CIO wanted someone looking at the logs 24x7. ie. if it is Friday night after 5pm, and we get an alert, who is going to respond? We had the service for 1-2 years and got daily summary reports which were good, but we are quite small, so 99.5% of the alerts we received weren't really action items. The cost was quite reasonable compared to others. I don't do too much searching of the logs, but the searching capabilities are decent. The support folks have been good to work with. I like the server whitelist/blacklist, but going through the list every day looking for new hashes gets to be tiring, because unless your server gets hacked, for the most part, all of the hashes of files are almost always going to be legitimate.

EventTracker is Definitely Customer Focus

The vendor provides excellent customer support and managed services. Our quarterly meetings help to keep out system in shape and allow us to recommend any configuration changes. The weekly reports provide a summary of potential issues and detailed information if needed.

Good feature set, support/implementation could use some improvement.

Good amount of features for the price. Flexible licensing and terms. Their implementation can take a long time due to scheduling with overseas support and communication barriers. The interface takes a lot of getting used to not that intuitive. But when you do find a tech who knows what they are doing, they can be very good and helpful. Not a big fan of giving unattended remote access, however.

I am always very impressed with the whole Event Tracker team. They are very easy to work with. The tech support people are great. Very fast to respond, extremely knowledgable. and quick to resolve any issues. They always follow up to make sure their solutions works.

Implementation was indepth and lengthy but have been excellent since we went live.

EventTracker Employees have robust knowledge of the product and all pieces if it's functionailty. There is a language barrior is some cases and a few of their technicians are difficult to understand.
