we needed to expand globally in a very short time frame. Could not have done that with any other solution. Down time has been an issue from time to time.
When looking to expand capabilities through the addition of other tools, first conisder NetSuite and its partner base.
scalability and flexibility
refresh the sand box in a more timely maner.
setup the subsidiary structure based on NetSuite's recommendation. We decided to do it differerntly and we wasted a lot of time unwinding that mistake.

Complicated enhancement/request process, going through 3rd party vendor instead of working directly with NetSuite. Added a lot of time to the implementation process.
Data migration preparation is key.
System works well and rarely has downtime
We've had to purchase several add-on modules or 3rd party software to perform our necessary accounting and budget functions
Allowed us to work directly with them instead of through VAR
Advanced preparation of migrated data by requesting data dictionary/data import formats earlier in the process. Dug deeper into some of our complexities to validate system can do what we need.
Had to purchase several add-on modules

Really customer focused team. Implementation team expertise good, but our complex global needs pushed them beyond their comfort zone, but they adapted well.
Nail the scope in detail first. Pay for a detailed BRD time and materials and try and fix price the rest.
One single system for "truth". Cloud helps limit our resource needs.
Help address the application integration needs a bit better.
Pay a bit more for implementation services on site vs. offshore. Having local people is really valuable.
Very responsive and transparent.
