Gartner defines social monitoring and analytics as the process of collecting, measuring, analyzing and interpreting the results of interactions and associations among people, topics and ideas from social media sources. The vendors mentioned here are largely (although not exclusively) point solutions focused on social data collection and analysis. These solutions are different from social marketing management tools that may include social analytics capabilities as part of a broader platform, which also include capabilities for content publishing, distribution, and engagement and customer service capabilities.

Every product that I have used and worked on works very well. Customer support could be a little better but otherwise exceptional. Machines are top notch. Little product issues. Sales people are knowledgeable in the product line they sell. Customer promise dates could be a little more on time. Engineering within the company needs to spend a little time in the field with the service engineers to see what we go through on a daily basis so they can get the stuff corrected and fixed that we deal with.

We have picked YouScan because their tool is very user friendly, offers a wide range of filters and widgets to enhance the work of the data translators. The platform offers exhaustive coverage of various social media platforms too. However, the image analytics and and logo recognition is where YouScan really shines. Last but not least, they also offer excellent customer support and willing to improve and upgrade their offering.

Publishing - easy to use and integrates with web analytics. Listening Dashboards - set up custom listening queries to stay on top of relevant conversations. Reporting - design customizable reports tailored to your organization's needs. Listening - (full firehose) Probably not the fault of Sprinklr, but because listening is charged based on volume, my organization sets limits on the kind of listening reports we can create. Workflows - I have tried team workflows in Sprinklr and found that the process was more cumbersome than helpful. Planning - my team actually prefers to use Google Sheets for planning and Sprinklr for publication, listening, and reporting.

Analytics of Socialbakers is very intuitive and facilitator for the everyday rotine. Easy to interpret graphs, kpi that bring us closer to the more tangible understanding of reality, as interactions by a thousand followers.

"Not good enough."

Adobe Social was a rare poor implementation from Adobe. They seemed to purchase the technology, slap their logo on it, toute great connections with other marketing cloud data, but couldn't deliver. It was overpriced for what it was.
