    Executive account oversight on the DHL side has been critical to pull all aspects of the portfolio of services together.

    Insist on a key account manager who spans across all divisions, product lines

    They are very rigid on margins and will not flex

    not operate out of our old location as they have been unable to turn this into a multi-client facility

    Partnership / Common Objectives at its best!

    I have history with DHL from two prior companies, and have found them very trustworthy and transparent; makes a great partnership. We were able to fully disclose each other's business models and requirements for expanding the partnership, and it is that integrity and willingness to fully partner and own the outcome that is unique. They have been good at pushing back where applicable, and taking constructive feedback as well. The passion and ownership of their people on the ground in operations is best in class...

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Make it ok for them to speak their mind. DHL seems to be a little on the conservative side, with respect to offering up breakthrough ideas. They have them and are experts, but they tend to wait a little bit (in a new relationship) to get aggressive with suggestions; make it ok...

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Engage their network optimization and analytics team sooner; they have great talent

    The overall experience has not been positive. Their on-site IT team has been cooperative, however their corporate level team have been distant

    Clearly quantify metrics to measure success and integrate these into contract
