    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Assimilate your requirements prior to engaging with a 3PL. 3PL's tend to be ambitious in gaining business, even if capabilities are not sufficient to meet the requirements.

    Excellent tools, need more one on one customer service support.

    Great tools to monitor cargo in transit and export documentation flow, however limited follow-up one on one with ocean carriers which led to some misses.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Besides technology aspect, understand very well the human element, how many resources will be dedicated to your account.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    Provide a more detailed view of expectations in terms of customer service.

    service is pretty good, There International reach is not as extensive as other providers

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    ask what assets the 3PL has. We found out that they were outsourcing their services in certain countries where they did not have their own foot print. You lose some control and visibility when this happens

    bid out to multiple suppliers and have a better SLA up front

    Expeditor is good at interntional shipments (ocean/air), especially for US inbound. Their price as well as the risk mitigation plan is quite agile and capable.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    How to get good communication internally before asking a new supplier to start the business is the critical factor for success.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    We started to use Expeditor for all Cummins locations incuding international ones in 2014. The ramping up was a little painful since the project was launched by year end which was the high season for international shipments. Also the west coast labor strike brought the on-time-delivery rate to a very low level. Fortunately, the status has been much improved by rerouting the shipments from west coast to east coast, and Expeditor started to get familiar with our business. If I would have done differently, I would select Q2 or Q3 for launching the project.

    Expeditors is a quality provider in International Freight Forwarder. It is easy to do business with them.

    What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?

    Make sure you are comfortable with the capability of your representative. We have very good representation on the sales and ops side.

    If you could start over, what would your organization do differently?

    If you identify a quality provider, do not eliminate them based on cost.
