OHL (Geodis) was able to launch quickly and provide a flexible solution. The process controls and innovations could be improved.
Make sure you drive the solution and demand KPI adherance up front. Once the agreement is in place, the company communication feels very defensive when they are challenged to improve performance or cost. Addressing these things in the beginning will save time and patience.
We would have changed the pricing structure. Using an open book pricing model allowed the 3PL to perform inefficiently without much risk.
