Overall, a good experience. Meta4 worked with us to develop specific modules for our organization including leave and recruiting functions. Meta4 also made great strides in increasing the security around their data centers and systems gaining numerous certifications and passing numerous audits. Meta4 really turned it around from a security perspective. The core of the product is still outdated with an upgrade plan on the table. Meta4 is a very conservative organization. Change is not a good thing for them. Their core competency is relability and consistency. If you need innovation, creativity and "out of the box" thinking, they are not the company.
Get your requirements right and understand that changes are not easy for Meta4. They love consistency across clients and innovation threatens reliability for them.
Meta4 has a solid core product. They have good people who work hard and are engaged with their customers.
Good basic product but too basic to provide great value without modification. Payroll and basic HR functions are their core compentencies.
Addressed security issues and concerns before they became issues for the customers. No incidents but their practices were very poor until the past 2 years.
Would have used Meta4 as a core and brought in other vendors to fill in the functions we needed, that Meta4 did not have instead of co-creating these modules with them. The development processses are long, moderately expensive, and the results were very basic solutions.
Integration is very difficult for them since they do not have APIs or web services and rely on an ETL process to move data. You basically extract a file from their system and process that file within.
