Hangouts UI can be a bit clunky, but its integration into Chrome browser and its integration into Gmail make it easy for new users in our company to adopt. I would suggest the Hangout UI feature messaging and file sharing more, as we find that during conference calls, we usually share links, code, and files. A code friendly editor that support markdown might be a niche ask, but it would be very useful for developers.

Google offers robust feature set that meets most of our needs. However, we are still considering other vendors for our communications because Google doesn't make call/session recording and sharing as easy as it should be and since the system suffers from consistent call drops and freezes, particularly on global calls.
