Great 3rd parties available to provide expertise during transition
Use a 3rd party to aid in the conversion process if you are a large enterprise. Use one that has expertise not only on Google Apps but on the platform you are moving from.
It's available anywhere, on any device, all the time. It's SaaS so no maintenance.
Continue to innovate (innovation has sort of flattened out since we went live).
We would not have migrated calendars over from our existing Lotus Notes Calendaring. There were such complexities in the conversion and so many events that had to be rescheduled that it would have been more time effective to just have people begin using the new calendaring tool for events after "date X" and let the old calendar roll off after that event.

Overall pretty good. They do tend to spam us with offers for additional services and such (move to the NEW Google xxx platform). Also they are a bit stingy with their roadmap. But overall google is rock solid and the ability to do hangouts from anywhere has been a game changer.
They don't tend to negotiate contract terms. We banged our heads against them for months.

their ecosystem does not easily play well with others. So life is great if you are doing all hangouts, but interoperability is spotty.
I wish their contract terms were more flexible.
I think we would have advertised the capabilities more.
overall very happy. Hangouts work everywhere.

Google is too much of a blackbox provider for my liking.
Do you homework and make sure you fully understand what your end users are looking to do with the solution.
No control over patches and software releases to the business.
