The system is easy, the support is not

Overall the phone system has met our business needs. One of the downfalls has been with ongoing technical support and the speed which issues are resolved is disappointing.

Shoretel is a great REAL phone system for an Enterprise environment.

Shoretel was knowledgeable and helpful on any issue I had to call in for. they Helped us track down network bottlenecks that were preventing our buisness from functioning.

Moving support in house makes ShoreTel an easy win - still need more robust analog support

Moving to the ShoreTel platform enabled us to migrate telephony support from expensive external vendors to the internal help desk. Deploying the Communicator client to users desktops was very successful and users particularly enjoy the directory search function as well as visual voicemail and call history. The admin interface is very intuitive and relatively easy to find items for the first time. Have occasional issues with fax and analog device compatibility as well as time server problems for a handful of sites.

competitive price, easy implementation, but limited access to updates.

Shoretel is a great competitive prices product. Easy of administration and the easy of use for the users is why we went this direction. One downside is that shoretel limits software downloads to 3rd party venders and we are not able to access or update as we see fit. Which doesn't allow us to be on the cutting edge if we so choose.

100% successful support, easy implementation, and great customer service

They have solved every issue that we've had so far. One of the things that has come up is compatibility with our existing systems across three offices. For one reason or another, shoretel's functionality would cease. Once the problem was identified, our vendor would provide support and fix the issue. While never failing to resolve all of our Shoretel problems such as call quality, connectivity, buzzing systems, voicemail, they aren't always able to fix these problems on the day they happen. I can't recall if it's ever taken more than a day or two, but I have had to deal with our office having limited functionality for an evening and following morning. This is the only reason I didn't rate the overall experience as 5.

Solution exceeds our needs however documentation could be better.

The how-to documentation could use a little work but otherwise perfect.
