WAN edge infrastructure enables network connectivity from distributed enterprise locations to access resources in both private and public data centers as well as cloud (as a service). It is typically procured by senior networking leaders within an infrastructure and operations (I&O) organization. This market has evolved from traditional branch routers (often called “customer edge routers” in a Multiprotocol Label Switching [MPLS] implementation), and is undergoing dramatic change, driven by the needs of digital business transformation and the demands of line-of-business managers. The market for branch office wide-area network functionality is shifting from dedicated routing, security and WAN optimization appliances to feature-rich SD-WAN and vCPE platforms. WAN edge infrastructure now incorporates a widening set of network functions, including secure routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, WAN path control and WAN optimization, along with traditional routing functionality.
"Transitioning from the vendor initially selected to Prisma was like coming into the light"
We were approached with the Cloud Genix/Prisma SD-WAN solution after we had initially began a conversion to a SD-WAN infrastructure utilizing another vendor and were impressed enough with the deep understanding of their product and their ability to understand, provide and explain their solutions to various issues we were encountering with the current vendors product that we elected to switch vendors mid-rollout. We were further impressed with the continued follow up and support that we received even AFTER the sale had been made. To this day we are welcome to reach out to the higher tier resources that initially assisted with our deployment when we have critical issues requiring expedited resolution, always receiving a timely and helpful response.
"Highly flexible and fully featured WAN Edge solution "
We use Fortinet SD-WAN for providing a resilient, secure, and stable connection for our LAN users and internal applications. It's also used for redundant connectivity to our main data center and remote offices (via IPsec tunnels). At the moment, SD-WAN in our deployment combines 3 IPSs in the HQ and 2 links in the corporate DC. There is an interesting use case we would like to share: some of our critical business applications should make a bet on the special competitive tendering portal as quickly as possible, we created a dedicated SD-WAN rule for that and monitor the availability, quality of the Internet connections.
"Great Edge Protection Layer. Not Perfect, but Trustworthy and Solid."
For the features we use, the product has been very good. We are on our 4th generation of Fortigate products. The 6.4 OS has been the most effective. We are also deployed in an HA cluster configuration, which results in zero downtime even for upgrades.
"Versa provides the most complete solution for enterprises for their SD-WAN requirements"
I really believe that Versa creates a solution for small, medium, and big corporates using the same plataform using Versa Titan and Versa secure SD-WAN, we didn't find it in the other brands. The orchestrator is multi-tenant, friendly, intuitive, and understandable platform that allows a non-expert engineer to create, operate, and manage a SD-WAN solution. Finally the analytics tool allow us and the customer to have a complete and granular dashboards and reports in real time and historical too.
"Excellent provider, lightyears away from traditional Telco carrier support and execution"
Overall service experience is excellent with excellent support and competent support staff. Aryaka is still light-years ahead of traditional telecom carriers on the technical as well as execution front. Aryaka is structured so that customer requirements are in focus. Traditional Telco companies all have fixed inflexible products that don't meet the customer requirements.
"Amazing SD-WAN system. Simple, yet extremely robust. Very well designed."
Silver Peak's SD-WAN solution is absolutely amazing. We performed POC's with several of Gartner's highest rated solutions and none of them are even close to offering a fully packaged and simplified solution like Silver Peak. We began by only deploying 3 sites on Silver Peak and performed an 18 month POC. Once that completed, we started moving all of our sites to Silver Peak. We ran a traditional Cisco network before with MPLS and DMVPN connections. One of the best features of Silver Peak is the ability to see both real time and historical charts for packet loss, out of order packets, latency, inbound and outbound throughput, amongst many other items. Try doing that with a Cisco router without expensive and overly complicated Netflow. When you provide support for 50+ locations, have dozens of different last mile carriers, etc., the reporting is absolutely invaluable. Silver Peak's packet correction, or pickup, is so amazing that we see 0% packet loss on our sites that have dual WAN connections. VoIP issues? A thing of the past. The ease of deployment with their ZTP and template driven design is also invaluable. Instead of having a high paid network engineer to deploy our routers, any of my IT employees are now able to plug in a device, fully configure it, and then ship it out of the door for install in under 30 minutes. With Silver Peak's templates and BIO's, configurations are consistent across all devices. We no longer have to worry if an ACL or route map is misconfigured on a router. The days of using CatTools to mass deploy out configurations and then having to manually verify that all were updated properly is also a thing of the past. Templates and ZTP are amazing and Silver Peak has done a phenomenal job at implementing these features. I could go on for hours...
"Super Cloud Monitoring "
Our organization was finding a product for cloud monitoring and after a lot of research we decided to go for CloudWAN because it is best for cloud monitoring, the way it deploy and manage the cloud WAN is super great. It has VPN which really helped our team in creating VPN tunnels automatically. We can do many thing using CloudWAN Admin portal like managing customer projects. It help our organization in breaking out the internet which reduce the bandwidth cost and boosts performance. The security is also very great.
""Game Changer in Software Defined Networking of WAN""
"Highly advanced software based network technology which connects enterprise spokes with the business critical applications especially Video Conferencing, ERM and CRM. Capable to be deployed in hybrid architecture and provide dynamic traffic segregation over most optimized paths which makes SD WAN a better choice over traditional WAN."
"Citrix SDWAN - A great fit for a ever evolving network"
When setup and running the products has been rock solid, thus the setup was not a easy task and involved alot of config to work in our Azure environment. Changing from "on-prem" sdwan center to cloud service has been a struggle as there will be new networks and full setup. Orchestrator Cloud service has a great UI and easy to understand, for hardcore netscaler / sdwan tech its not that granular but works great for our needs. Fits very well with changing networks and enables a more flexible cloud transition.
"Huawei provides high quality, stable and reliable WAN"
NetEngine AR Series Routers are really helpful for boosting routing performance. It provides a secure network that helps to protect from any cyber attack. We are using this for almost 2 years and it provides high-speed connectivity. It is highly configurable and easily manageable.
"Peplink a must have for Emergency Response Agencies"
We have found the deployment of Peplink hardware and products to be extremely easy compared to other brands. The integration of multiple architectures allowing the flexibility to connect LTE products to Terrestrial and Satellite and prioritize links make this a very customizable product. Recently we had an issue and thought it had to do with the firmware we updated, in fact the Peplink team went above and beyond to help us identify that we had an issue with a 3rd party vendor. As an emergency response agency of local government, this type of service helps further instill the reason we will invest in Peplink brand equipment in the future. In addition, it does not require an IT guru to field administer on-site. Much of the setting changes can be made through a website interface allowing on-site personnel to handle their tasks without major down-time.
"Simple software with excellent scalability."
Our management has become seamless with forcepoint Next-Generation Firewall. Downtime's have decreased with its advanced clustering for networks and firewalls and our administrators can now rapidly map business processes into strong and accurate controls.
"FatPipe provides reliability and simplicity for a reasonable cost."
Our FatPipe appliance provides HA redundancy for multiple ISP connections, it allows us flexibility in segmenting and routing traffic in and out of our network. The FatPipe cloud app for historical reporting provides the information we need to analyze connectivity and provides statistics to management
"Impressive connectivity, great engineering design and great staff supporting the product"
We have had one of the best experiences that we have ever experienced with vendors. Different teams within peplink did an outstanding job not only in the pre-sales and post-sales but also in engineering, documentation, imports, warranties, request-response agility, and extra documentation and information needed to comply different policies, standards and regulations needed in different countries and needed within our customers.
"Peplink makes exceptionally reliable network hardware with innovative capabilities"
Peplink makes exceptionally versatile and reliable network hardware. Without a doubt, the best network products I've used in my career. Built to take a beating, with stable, feature rich firmware, excellent support and cloud management also included. I was a moderately happy Ubiquiti customer for many years when I switched to Peplink to incorporate cellular networks into my WAN. I was surprised to discover how much easier and more reliable my network management became with using Peplink hardware. Unlike my prior network gear, I wasn't spending time on the forums, editing JSON files to customize my custom configuration, dealing with bugs and beta firmwares. My Peplink gear has just worked; all the features I've needed were included and more importantly: stable. I never have to worry about my network or be required to reboot the gear on a weekly basis. More importantly, I've added several innovative capabilities to my deployment: multi-cellular + wired WAN is a game-changer. How did we use the internet before this existed? Add SpeedFusion bonding and I've been able to stay reliability connected in one of the most challenging deployments: a mountain rural community with no connectivity beyond ancient DSL service. A custom outbound policy allows me to direct certain services (like Zoom) or devices (servers) on my LAN to specific WAN connections. I could do none of these things on my prior network hardware. Peplink continues to surprise me with their ability to seamlessly combine technical innovation with reliability. Their gear truly is the best of both worlds. While I have a few small critiques, noted below, Peplink has easily become my network hardware vendor of choice.
