Eight super traits for high-achieving agility advocates.
Becoming a superhero may not be on your bucket list, but turning into a superhero agile practitioner may be more achievable than you think.
William Holz, research director at Gartner, says the superhero metaphor is a good one for agile practitioners because, just like us, the universe of superheroes and their capabilities is pretty diverse.
“Not all superheroes have real superhuman powers like Superman and Wonder Woman,” he explained. “Superheroes like Batman and Iron Man use their brains to invent technical solutions to help conquer their problems or enemies. They may be fictional characters, but there is nothing that prevents us from being like them and using our own innate capabilities to overcome the technical and business challenges we face.”
In the graphic below Gartner has identified eight traits to be an Agile Superhero.
