Dear Colleague:

Welcome to our Gartner AR Community August update. We have two important topics to update you on, so let’s get right to it:

Important Changes to the Gartner Copyright and Quote PolicyThe Gartner Office of the Ombudsman has a very important set of changes to the Copyright and Quote Policy that it believes the AR Community will find helpful and a tad “liberating” in light of the exploding use of social media mentions of Gartner research.

Reminder: Analyst Relations Regional Briefing in Santa Clara, California (20 August)We are planning an AR Briefing Day for our U.S. West Coast AR Community members, to be held in the Gartner offices in Santa Clara. Our agenda calls for sessions covering new and emerging best practices, panel discussions where you will hear directly from AR peers about new ideas evolving within their programs, and updates on important Gartner Research changes. Additionally, we will host an AR Networking Lunch, a workshop where you can provide input into an upcoming revision of the Gartner Magic Quadrant process and a final session on Advanced AR: Driving High ROI by Better Business Alignment — a session where AR teams can hear about how to take your programs to the next level! We had a fabulous turnout with our companion AR Day held in Egham, U.K., at which we had over 70 AR professionals in attendance!
Please find here the link to register for the Santa Clara event. Please contact your Gartner Account Executives for more agenda and logistics details.

As always, please send us your questions at, and as always, we wish you much continued success with your Analyst Relations programs!
