Salient Appoints Justin Russell Chief Technology Officer

Justin RussellJustin Russell has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer for Salient Management Company, responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of software development. In this newly created role, Russell will work with Executive Management using an active and practical approach to direct the Core and n-Tier Engineering departments to attain the company's strategic goals.

"This position marks a new and more efficient approach in the coordination, communication and development of new technologies," according to Guy Amisano, Salient CEO. "Justin is ideally suited for this role because he has broad experience in all aspects of our Core and n-Tier technology, and a deep understanding of our clients' needs. His ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff makes him a strong leader."

Russell joined Salient in 2005 as an Applications Engineer, and within a couple of years became the Lead Solutions Architect in the company's thriving Health and Human Services business unit. In this role he was instrumental in a successful visual data discovery pilot program to help NY State indentify potential instances of waste, fraud and abuse within it's $54 billion Medicaid program, by far the largest statewide program in the country. Most recently he was Director of High Security Application Consulting.

Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and an MBA in Business.
